Lucky You. I have been fortunate to have visited Madeira 3 times & unless you want to hang around Funchal I would recommend checking out Porto Moniz with its amazing natural swimming pools amidst the surrounding lava beds. Near there are the wonderful views from Fanal which is a partially protected area but basically accessible. Be careful of Lavadas which run parallel to several well travelled trails but that also pass through some long & dark tunnels where a large flashlight is mandatory & the walkway extremely slippery. The trail next to Levadas which leads to some 20 or more closely flowing mini waterfalls is fine but extremely tourist friendly especially as late as early October. The weather can be rainy even in the prime tourist time & a couple times when I reached the highest mountain point I could see little from there due to excessive fog. Also, for sun bathing beaches Porto Santo a few hours NE by ship offers more than Madeira‘s basically rocky shore but for hiking, swimming, & interesting variety of landscape (there is even a high desert area called, Paul Da Serra, between Funchal & Porto Moniz). Although I truly love Madeira I have to try & see the Azores next which have some similar topography. Enjoy!

Hi! I see that Nadia already gave an answer to your question. Coming from the EU it is not necessary, but some type of identification (ID card or Drivers license) is necessary. I always ensure to have my passport with me though, just to be sure. Have fun on ur Malta trip! I hope this video helps:)

Thanks mate!! I truly appreciate it and thanks for stopping by! Prices in Riga were pretty affordable, especially in comparison to other European countries I've been to. Having dinner for 2 should be around €20 total or less. 8:42 The food was surprisingly super super tasteful. Lots of potatoes and roasted meats. Recommendation: head out to Lido - this was my favorite restaurant with delicious meals. Try their pink soup and the roasted potatoes for sure! I'm afraid I can't say much about hotels as we’ve booked the first best deal we have encountered. My fave spot would definitely be Lido (great food) and honestly, just walking through the oldtown: beautiful buildings and plenty to see. Also combine it with a rivercruise and have a cocktail or two 😉 Enjoy your trip!! Hope u will have lots of fun @mirkocutura9882

I do not speak Greek. The language barrier was present. But with patience and showing what I wanted to order on the menu was a perfect solution. Also: Google translate to translate menus that are only in Greek.

Hey Keith! El Nido wasn’t overcrowded. At all actually. Could be the time of the year though. But it was perfect: beaches were almost private and restaurants always had spots. Did u enjoy it btw?:)

We booked a private transfer to El Nido, so it wasn't that crowded for us. And yes; there is an Airport in El Nido, but I do think that that is a private airport.

The weather is great during the day (shorts and tshirts - also for sunbathing and swimming). At night it gets a bit chilly, so a sweater is advised.

I stayed at the Gastenhaus Lazarus. Pretty ok accommodation and spacious.
