My man what you do , you are very knowledgeable
it’s so beautiful accents, i’m indian but born in england so natively i have both of those accents and it’s such a subconscious thing it’s so much just with the way your brain thinks and the language it thinks in, the language you come from it shapes your verbal skills cause that language is your gateway to verbal skills so there’s certain things that carry on it’s beautiful
aapli vids mast lagti bhiya, unfiltered
1:14 A while back a friend of mine shared a British rap song with me and I said "this is kinda hard, what language is this?" It was a pretty embarrassing moment because he replied "English..?" I had to go back and listen a couple times over and still couldn't make most of it out lol
great video love what you put out
All the accents you present, including your own sound wonderful and can be clearly understood (I'm listening at 1.5 speed to this video and everything, including that Parliament discussion at the beginning was perfectly clear). The issue that you don't mention is that if people have a very bad experience, ie: I'm an elderly Canadian and was receiving a minimum of 5 phone calls on my home phone from India scam callers ... so an accent that I used to enjoy and loved the way Indians often use formal vocabulary, suddenly my reaction to these accents changed to an almost PTSD reaction where I had to discontinue my home phone service to avoid this constant barrage of scam callers. Afterwards, even if a customer service agent from my Bank interacted with me regarding something legitimate, I no longer trusted them if they had an Indian accent. I wondered if they were 'moonlighting' as scam callers. So having a bad experience, especially a continued bad experience over a period of time with a particular accent, no matter where it might be from is more likely to cause bias or aversion in the future. Whereas when examining various accents from a purely neutral perspective, each one from every country and region sounds pleasant and some are even beautiful, making the world a much more vibrant and colourful place. Accents even have an allure, young women are often attracted to men with an accent, maybe some subconscious primitive instinct to encourage diversity of genes in progeny and avoid 'in-breeding' ... just a wild guess 😃
Absolutely love this channel! Really really hope you succeed. Will be cheering you on when that happens 🎉
while they can obviously be annoying i don't think a joke based on race is necessarily a "hate" comment
hmm, i love the video, just make the bg music louder during sponserships please, i thought u were giving a sneak peak on ur next video 😅
It makes sense but stil makes me so angry. You need to put in more effort than the majority to be understood and be considered competent- it lends so well to every heirarchy, whether it be race or seen here, location and class.
I’m someone with a “white person” accent in India haha; so I get ridiculed by people because of my non-Indian accent. It’s sad but funny to see how hate is perpetuated everywhere no matter what you do; as long as you are different.
Youre an absolute chad my dude, keep growing and a very happy new year🎉
Happy new year!
People will find anything to make fun of someone. Even if it is stupid.
Bro, it’s just different sounds. You can train yourself to fix it. Elsa Speak app will fix it for example. Also, people really can’t understand unless they are used to accents. I used to have such a hard time speaking because I would have to repeat for some of my colleagues all the time, so I fixed mine. Then, I needed some time to get used to my Dutch colleague. It has nothing to do with “race”. Don’t be an imbecile.
We've tried to present a lot of research done in this regard. I personally think race is an important factor, the idea however is to not make it as important as it is. I don't mind being called stupid for that.
@@altinfinity "Race" has absolutely nothing to do with it. It has everything to do with your first language and the sounds that you acquire to learn it. Absolutely braindead idea of "racism" persists because people like you insist that everything is racism. As the lady in the video tried to explain to you (which I think went over your head), when you interpose sounds in your native tongue into another language, an accent emerges which is not the exact sounds and therefore rather difficult for native people to understand, unless they really get used to it. If you take all the "minimal pairs" in the English language and try to say them correctly to a speech-to-text software, you will figure out most of the differences. The book Fluent Forever goes into detail about this (and much more). Also, the app Elsa Speak uses AI to help you figure out what sounds you are making wrong and correct them (it will teach you a common American accent which most people will understand well).
Sounds like a person from UK,, I was born here in the late 70s and at the age of 46 its got worse primarily because of the in flux of huge numbers of the world displacing the indigenous into homelessness and no jobs,, so many vent the evil that has grown onto people who really dgaf because they're own beliefs and country has failed them so instead of fixing their own country they cheat and just sink the ship of another because now the ship can't hold the weight Analogy,,,, they jump ship,,,, to board another which is considerably smaller , they end up sinking the ship they boarded because they couldn't compromise and together fix the first ship that was considerably bigger , instead caused a catastrophe Obviously conglomerates love cheap labour at the expense of communities They are venomous to Indians etc because they are not happy with a situation and perceive you to be the problem ,,, because they know the government won't listen to them ,,, so the level of articulation you deal with in racist remarks comes from a working class low education people who are venting their issues
There is not wrong with your accent, I am American and speak with with an American accent you can assimilate as much you like but it would not matter. I was thinking of moving to to India 🇮🇳 ,Trinidad 🇹🇹 or Guyana 🇬🇾. According to a poll 87% percent of Americans choose Illegal Mexicans over Legal Indians, the west wants to “racial Identity” or Latins which fine. It is best setup shop somewhere else.
Hell yeah!!!! That was fun
Bro your a legend. And this video is so awesome!!! turning Hate => views🔥🗣🔥🗣
Spanish and French accents are sexy, German and Russian are very manly, it’s undeniable that some Indian accents are funny, Vietnamese too. Yeah some people take it too far but it’s not necessarily racist, Australian accents are funny, it’s not racist it’s just a fact. People aren’t going to stop laughing at Indian accents just like they’re not going to stop finding French accents romantic.
There is no one Indian accent And replacing T with D is certainly not Indian accent it's just ignorant
Nice video mutahar
Can you also invest why Hindus are in love with Israel
Common adversaries.
But how does that relate with this video?
Fun fact: The roots of many Sanskrit words come from the same source as Latin and Greek, called Proto-Indo-European, or P.I.E. for short. It's like mocking an Ancient Roman for speaking English wrong.
Are we going to simply overlook the way he smoothly integrated the NordVPN advertisement into his video so as to not disrupt the flow of his content?
Great channel, also great camera setup!
Hey, thanks!

Thank you so much for delving into such an interesting topic. I have to say, your accent is so soothing and comforting to listen to 🙂 I was wondering in your research - does being taught a language by a native or non native speaker of the language affect the accent of the learner at all?
I believe it does! In a portion of the interview that unfortunately couldn't make it into the video, me and Dr.Lawson were discussing about the early influences of accents.
@ Thanks so much for getting back to me! Does English language tuition for those who take it in India start early? And is it mostly done with non native speaking teachers for the most part?
Agreed. I guess people want to get down to the ground as quickly as possible without realizing they are slowing everything down
It's a bit bizarre
This looks so warm
I will take that as a compliment lmao

??
I hope you're still a teen and have time to do better with your life.
I was cyberbullied so much on social media, i had to changemy entire accent to not be the target of people online
Just checked out, I can reliably hear 18kHz, but not from the video... I think that losless compresiion often cuts out or minimizes this portion of the spectrum, not sure which one is the youtube using. I was testing my hearing with audacity, just generating a tone with desired frequency. I think I might be able to hear higher frequencies, I really care for my hearing. But with the old shitty headphones and chinese USB audio card, I don't think this combo is able to produce meaningful volumes in these ranges.
Man I'm definitely part of the problem. Because when I see some joking parody of an Indian accent I will still find it funny and find it funny by myself. It's not something I would do around anybody, but realizing that I DO do it is disheartening, but also something that I will work on, not because I feel guilty for being a bad person, but because I'm just constantly trying to improve as a person. Thanks for this video, definitely will help me in future to be more respectful, even when alone. Because even if I'm alone and there's nobody to hear my jokes or me laughing at decrying humor, I think that type of mindset can leak out into public and your outward opinions, so I hope to only improve from here on.
the quality and production of this video is 🤌🏻
