Absolutely LOVE how Vinnie plays…with such economy, subtle groove and dare I say funk, off-beats, etc… He sure made those Vistalites sing. Helps that the drum mix was turned up to 11. 🤣 After all, it was a Bonzo tribute gig.

Cool and all and it does have merits but deadass, what're you supposed to do actually, if you need to reach the first or second fret during a solo?? Lolz. It's good to see players like MAB acknowledge that yes, the gear itself *can* indeed actually make a difference in how you sound at times but the first couple of frets are important too lol. Anyways maybe I'll indeed give it a try perhaps.

Why does everyone live vinny Appice so much? I love Dio, but their albums could have been infinitely better with a decent and creative drummer. Playing to the music shouldn’t mean doing less than the bare minimum

I thought it was overdubbed until I saw it was a twelve string.

I honestly prefer MAB's acoustic playing over his electric playing. His precise playing style makes every note ring out clearly and really makes him far above the rest on acoustic.
