Sled pull 8-6-16 at Montrose, IL. Tried 4 low, 3rd gear this time. It shifted to 4th on its own, but I had enough power with the 6870 to pull 4th. Sled was hitting HARD. 1st place.

Ford 6.7 Precision 6870 Pull
มุมมอง 6K8 ปีที่แล้ว
2014 Ford F250 pulling at Shriners pull in Charleston, IL. 2nd Place finish. First pull on the new Precision 6870 ball bearing turbo. Plenty of power, needed more speed. On rev limiter most of the pull. Midwest Diesel and Auto's built tranny held power fine. Elite Diesel Engineering built the turbo kit and dual fueler.

Manitowoc 4600 Dredging Sand and Gravel in Illinois
มุมมอง 27K11 ปีที่แล้ว
Fully rebuilt Manitowoc 4600. We bought it last year, already rebuilt. It had Tier 3 computer controlled Cat engines installed during the rebuild. It has a C-15 for drag/hoist, and a C-9 for swing and travel. The man that built it spared no expense in the rebuild. Everything was brought to new spec, except of course the engines, they were brand new from Caterpillar. According to the man that bu...
Super Nice Manitowoc 4600 Crawler Dragline
มุมมอง 83K12 ปีที่แล้ว
This is probably one of the nicest Manitowoc 4600 draglines in the world. We bought it to mine sand and gravel 50' underwater. It has been completely rebuilt by previous owner 2,100 hours ago. It had brand new tier 3 Caterpillar engines installed. No expense was spared in the rebuild. He did a beautiful job. It is one of a kind. This video was taken during our first inspection. The operator is ...
Dryer vs Shockwave
มุมมอง 30812 ปีที่แล้ว
Shockwave exploding target (large 2 pounder) inside a kenmore dryer. The dryer was reduced to a few small pieces. Directions say shoot from 100 plus yards, but if you put anything over it, I would recommend at least 250 yards, as debris will travel quite far, at high speed. Awesome stuff. Comparable to Tannerite.
runing good good production
What's the pay scale out that way for running friction crane? We make around 60.00 on straight time in the pacific north west.
Man that was a great video I love watching them old cranes work just like you said they don’t make them like that no more they’re all hydraulic now which pretty much any operator can run them but anyway my friend I’d like to see the inside of the cab and the operator view as he’s running it so keep the videos coming brother
Wouldn't look like that after a week in Anthracite Region!
Vgt or non vgt??
6870 on stocks rods. F yes
Great clean machine, is it still working..?
I think I would actually pay them for this job.
How much weight on the sled?
Excellent
Maybe you should put someone that knows how to run it you would get some thing done . Its painful to watch slow slow slow
very clean. the one im running is pretty beat down but i do my best to maintain her. running out real estate at the pit. i mainly use her for emergencies now a days. we just got 2 skyline excavators. the 2 combined cant put up nearly enouth material than i can with the maniwoc. awsome machines. twin Cummins set up 855 and kta 19 with vicon
I'm pretty sure I know the owner of that machine, the guy that built those steps. They look awful familiar.
Looks like the Ford out pulled everybody
SWEET! I bet it's a dream to run too! Thanks!
NICE! Operators are a rare commodity these days. All us old guys are about too old to cut it, even though I sure want to sometimes. 9/10 ths of the ones I ran were straight mechanical and a lot smaller BUT a dragline is a dragline pretty much. It'd tae a bit to get the interlock with power in and out but not impossible. Thanks again and I'd be proud too! GBWYall!
Any idea what hp/tq the truck made with the 6466? Just put a 6466 and a 10mm stroker pump on mine and I’m wondering what I can expect on the dyno.
How much power did this setup make? Is the 6870 significantly better? Just bought a 6466 with a stroker pump and now feeling buyers remorse for not going with the 6870.
What where your egts at for that
LOL @ the guy trying to fan the coal out of his face
Testing that drivetrain for sure, damn! Lol
Where is this 4600 operating?
It is a good machine. Are better. Thank you from Japan.
Very nice indeed... 👍😎 I ran these and mostly the Lima 2400’s (same size) over the years ln Rock Quarries in Florida and Coal strip mines in Indiana....!!
Ran one in a N. Fla rock pit... 😉👍😎
to keep it that way is a good oiler
What a machine!!
Only from Manitowoc, Wisconsin
Absolutely a daily driver! Still running strong with 116k on her now.
You are a man amongst boys. Please tell me she’s your daily driver too?!
Dude! That’s hardcore.
one thing I can do very well in this life is operate a dragline. I believe I could show this operator some things.
Show him what?hes hoggin full buckets an not abusing the rig by the looks of it,iv seen 4600s 6400s beat to shit by haste an waste operators
When smooth operators dump, they don’t let it fly and rake the drag chains up the arch.
Whatever 😂
Elite Diesel Engineering made the turbo kit.
Who made the kit?
That is a damn good looking 4600 and love the way it sounds, you can hear those Turbos just a singing, very smooth operator to.
Yes. that is where it came from.
Was this at sevill sand and gravel in Lodi Ohio I remember watching those for hours up until they went out of business and got sold
Negative on the built motor. Still running strong on stock rods.
How did u get ur truck not to shift...my 2015 6.7 shifts if I'm in manual or 4x4 low...the only time it wont shift is if I put it in second gear and just pull in 2nd
built motor too or no?
Let it shift into third..... Speed is your friend. You've got the power to hold 3rd gear down the track.
Great rebuild of this machine, looks like it just left the factory line.
Good way to mess up the truck. And if you think you didn't... you're wrong.
Nice machine... could shave 15 seconds minimum of your cycle time with a few adjustments tho. Easy diggin
Very nice rebuild of a classic machine, I ran drag line for a time both mechanical and air shift, takes a little time to learn casting and drag. I have seen the demise of many drag lines from long stick excavators. But you cant beat the reach, dept and productivity of a good drag line. many people are finding that out but a lot of the old operators are retiring and there has not been a training replacement program. Good luck with your machine. Phil
Precision 6466 turbo, dual fuel, ALA's, bars, air bags. It has a 6870 on it now though.
what have you done to that truck...? I am going to pull in June
Very nice!
Ever break anything?
c15 for drums c9 for swing/travel
Do you know what size engine/s?
