The Curious Case For Curiosity
In 2024, colleagues Sara Deschamps and Dr Emily Clements read a Guardian article written by Cass Sunstein and Tali Sharot titled ‘The big idea: this simple behavioural trick can help you get more out of life’. This sparked a conversation around habituation and curiosity, how we can stop ourselves from getting stuck in our patterns and habits, what being more curious opens up for us, how it changes our lives and how do we do things? As a result, Sara and Emily set up some live experiments to see if they could cultivate more curiosity within themselves.
In this video hosted by Emily Lowe, you’ll hear Sara and Emily discuss the background to the project and their experiments, how it played out and the learnings gained from their journeys cultivating more curiosity in their lives.
