the brake pedal do you press it with your heel or front foot and is it hard? also do you use it along with the front brake pedal thanks
@@edge2991 hello! I use both the front brake (right handle) and rear brake (right pedal) at the same time. The front brake provides most of the power when stopping. I press the rear brake with my front foot (not heel). The motorcycle isn’t super heavy so the brakes are very responsive.
@@mr.vixter is it dangerous to just use the front break by itself
@@edge2991 it’s not dangerous as the front brake provides most of the braking power. But I would recommend to get in the habit of using both brakes if possible (especially as a beginner rider, which I still am).
@@mr.vixter understood thank you for clarifying 🙏
Another question, do you leave the battery charging and not care if it gets over charged or do you have to like keep constantly checking the battery charge atatus
i live in an Apartment so i won't be able to leave this outside. Can you tell me if it's too big to fit in apartment? i live on 1st floor so that's a relief. but twisting down the hallway and turning to go into door...you think this is too big for that?
@@rhampton1914 hello!! The Ryvid Anthem or Ryvid Outset isn’t a large motorcycle. And I am not sure how much space you have in your apartment. But I personally don’t think it is worth taking the bike in and out of the apartment every time you want to use it. There may also be rules in your apartment not allowing the storing of vehicles and of courses neighbors who may complain.
I am 6 feet 2 inches is this bike ok for my height?
@@MrAlexis6383 with the adjustable seat, that would totally work for your height. 💯
How tall are you
@@All-Alone666 Hobbit size lol…5’ 6”

@@Thegrumpyrider 💙🍻
Nice, since I’ve heard these things are coming to EU/ U.K, do you have any regrets vs other motorcycles/ bikes? What sort of range do you get on it?
@@GhostTheAssassin no regrets whatsoever. It depends on many factors like eco or sports mode, riding conditions, city or freeway, etc. Average range for me is about 60-65 miles.
Want, but… Do the new Anthem’s have the upgraded controller? Any issues with the seat modulator? What’s the max speed/range, if using in sport the entire trip?
They were offering an upgraded controller for a limited time deal but not sure if that is still going on. No issues with the seat adjuster. I am a short rider and my feet can touch the ground. Max speed is about 85 mph. Range varies depending on what mode you are in as well as other variables like riding conditions. Around 60-65 miles for switching between Eco & Sport mode. I haven't fully tested just Sports mode only but Sports mode does drain the battery faster.
🤙🏽🍻
💙🍻
Where are all the comfortable electric bikes for tall people with long legs at?
Hahaha. This is best of both worlds. For short kings and tall kings! 💥
I saw these at Electric vehicle expo it's good size bike but looks super slow for the price
It really depends on what you will using your electric motorcycle or any vehicle for and how much power you need. For me, it is used for local commuting and if I want to take the Ryvid Anthem on the Freeway, I am able to.
@@mr.vixter Taking it on the Freeway would be a game changer for me. This requires a motorcycle license and registration so I need to take some classes.
If you drop the bike you think with the battery where it is. Would it survive and remain connected if you drop it?
Great question! Yes it would survive. The battery has 2 latches. It has a locking mechanism for the primary latch. So the primary latch won’t even budge/open if it is locked. Assuming it is unlocked, even after the primary latch is pulled you then need to pull the secondary latch to release the battery.
I just wonder where the border between a "scooter" and an actual E-motorcycle starts. To be honest if I'm going to spend $8000, then I might as well spend 14,995 on the Livewire Del Mar S2.
Whatever you can afford for the features you want then more power to you. ⚡️🏍️
🤙🏽🍻
Yeah too bad $9k no thanks. At that kind of price I’d like to be able to get to my mom’s house at least before charging.
For local commuting, it is worth the price in my opinion. And the Ryvid Anthem is designed for that type of riding experience. Yes, for long distance, you will need to plan accordingly.
This is the one bike. I really wanna buy in next year. I might wait until the next version though so they perfect everything. Should have locking grips though. Small oversight.
Awesome to hear! They have a lot of cool things planned I am sure and the team at Ryvid are very receptive to feedback.
Short kings. One of the reasons why I wanna buy this bike
It’s definitely short king approved! Lol 🍻
Hey there! Great video and thoughtful breakdown! What’s that bright stuff in the sky though?!? My commute is mostly in the dark😅. Glad to see you’re putting miles in - Joshy
Haha. Thanks man! The days will be getting longer and there will be more sun!! ☀️🍻⚡️🏍️
About to re-paint mine purple and come after you as the Joker! 😂
Hahaha. OMG. No way! That is going to look so awesome!
Bike looks pretty cool. I was looking into these then came across Landmoto. Smiliar type of idea just way differnt style. I got the street district which gives me roughly 70 miles on mode 4. Full power at all times. Plus i live in cleveland so it was kind of a no brainer. Keep up the videos!
Thanks so much for your comment! The Landmoto District Street looks interesting also. And that range is pretty damn good. I see in mode 4 (performance), you can get 75+ MPH. How are you liking it overall?
Thanks for the response. Love it. 5,000 miles so far. @@mr.vixter
WOW!! That is impressive. Glad to hear that. Ride on!
I’m currently deciding between land moto or the anthem.. just need to find one in New York that I can sit on. Really really don’t wanna buy a bike without ever sitting on it..
I have a Metacycle & Didn't Bother to Take a Ryvid Test ride at Electrify. Ryvid just Might be Superior, but both are probably Beginner bikes to get our feet wet B4 we get tired, cus I'm gonna get a Honda 1100T next, that's an automatic btw
Hello!! Thanks for your awesome comment. It was well said. I am a new rider and I feel that both the Metacycle and the Ryvid Anthem are great for newer / beginner riders. I use it for local commuting but now that I am getting more confident, I would like to go longer range. Awesome to hear about you getting the Honda 1100T. That looks pretty awesome. 🏍️
What’s the Top speed ?
I use it for local commuting mostly. But the few times I was on the freeway, I got up to around 75-80 mph.
So same top speed like the meta you can change your sprocket for faster speeds I heard you can do that . I have a USB called metahack and it helps to customize my bike settings on phone app , you connect it to the usb the metacycle has .
That does sound pretty cool for the faster speeds that you can mod.
Should try a Sondors metacycle pretty much the same experience
I did have a Sondors Metacycle previously. And it is not the same in terms of features, comfort, & overall riding experience. Glad I sold it. Plus, not the best news for them recently.
Company going down hopefully someone buys the company out if not ima go to something much more better than a 72 volt battery that the ryvid and Sondors both have . I need more juice I wouldn’t pay 9k for something I can get with the metacycle which is 6k. I would go with a Zero electric motorcycle for an upgrade not a ryvid that gives the same performance. I seen a comparison video and it’s not that much different especially with the same batteries . Seat wise and comfort maybe only thing different . Range I hit like 65 miles same as you . What ryvid offers isn’t enough for me to switch and pay more .
I totally hear that you are saying. I pre-ordered the Ryvid Anthem when it was the $7800 price after selling the Metacycle, which to me was a good deal for what I am using it for. The adjustable seat and being able to switch anytime from Eco to Sports mode are some great features (as I am a short rider). The Metacycle only gave you a short time with the extra power. Agreed on the battery. I use it for local commuting but if I wanted to go longer distances, then I would also consider other options. I am sure you know that the prices can be double of triple the price of what these electric motorcycles cost.
@@mr.vixter that’s a good price 7,800 I’m sure you sold the meta for 4 or 5k so not bad . I wish they really didnt drop the ball with the metacycle it could had been so much better than what we got I was hoping for a bigger battery but those dreams are gone . They actually created a USB drive that connects to the metacycle and you can adjust the setting on the bike through a iPhone or android app like regen and power so you can pretty much save more energy if you want to but I’m not going to do that . Looking into the Del Mar . Don’t worry the ryvid is a cool bike would had got one if it came before the metacycle .
Yeah, it wasn't that bad at all for the price difference. Thanks. The Metacycle did have a lot of potential. Oh really? I didn't know that about the USB drive. That sounds cool. I know a few people who are also interested and some who already pre-ordered the LiveWire S2 Del Mar. The range and charge time look pretty damn solid. There are quite a few other electric motorcycles coming out this year. Hopefully you can upgrade. Happy riding.
Were you using the regen?
For Eco mode, yes as that is automatic when braking. For Sports mode, I wasn’t (I always forget to use the regen button)
Glad to hear you are enjoying it. How many miles has it clocked so far?
Thanks so so much! That is a damn good question! My focus has been on how much riding can I do before I need to charge the battery vs. how many miles. lol 🤣

Lol. Hopefully it won’t be too bad!
How fast does this bike go, how many miles from a single charge, and the price?
Hello! It goes over 75 MPH, about 65-70+ miles on a single charge, & current price is $8,995.
Where can I buy this in Europe
Hello! I would reach out to the company, Ryvid and ask them if the Ryvid Anthem will be available in Europe for purchase or delivery. 🍻
be great if you could do some riding vids of the Anthem, I am on the fence about getting one, still considering putting down $100 to reserve one for the spring, however I just don't have the money for one right now, even for that great price. The other part is that i would need to pay an additional grand to have it shipped to Minnesota.
Hello! Thanks for your message. If you check out some other videos on my channel, I posted some real world range tests and videos of the Ryvid Anthem. I hear you. It is an investment but in my opinion, worth it for the enjoyment you will get. Thanks.
Try to make a range test without and with constand speed with the help of cruise control if you can. Thanks for the videos.
Hello! That is a great idea! I will try to do that. I'll be honest, I am a bit scared still when I go on the freeways! lol
I like the look of the Rivid. Futuristic but no so much that it will look Alien.
That was spot on! Yes, I feel the same. It has s sleek look. Happy riding to you!
Price?
Initial price was $7800. Current price is $8995.
Seems they were fairly true to their word in terms of range. Website says constant 55mph should get 46 miles which seems accurate.
Hey there! Love the username by the way! 😀 Yeah, agreed. It is in line with their current data. I have been real happy with the results so far from range, performance, features, and design.
@@mr.vixter thanks, glad to hear you're enjoying it. I admit that I'm quite tempted to get one as my first bike.
@@spartankittygames Thanks! I am happy with the purchase so far. I call it my mid-life crisis electric. motorcycle lol. Ryvid may have finished their cross country tour from what I was reading. I think they are still doing demos depending on your location so you could test drive the Ryvid Anthem if you are considering purchasing one.
You hit the nail on the head within the first minute of your video. As an aspiring rider, I've been mulling the decision between thus and the METACYCLE from all the way back in March. I'm kicking myself for missing the initial launch of the Anthem when I could've gotten it for under $8k. I appreciate the video.
Thanks so much for your comment and glad ti hear it helped you! It is very much appreciated. I hear you on the price update. I hope you can eventually get a ride of your own. 🍻

Range test when?
I will have a POV riding video discussing the real world range uploaded within a week. Need to finish the range test riding that will be mostly mostly focused on Eco mode, editing, and upload.
Was debating on getting this for my wife, she is 5"3 do you think she can still be able to get her foot on the ground? The black color is really sick imo congrats on your bike!
Hello!!! Thanks so much for the message. I am happy with the color choice also. I am 5'6" and I have it on the lowest seat height setting (30"). My feet comfortably touch the ground, Depending on her leg length and if she wears motorcycle boots, that may work for her. I can say that the Ryvid Anthem is super easy to operate and I am enjoying the riding experience. For local commuting, I would highly recommend this.
How are you going to do a motorcycle video without any riding, or talking about the range?
Hello! In one of my other videos, I had some stats about the range in Eco/Sport mode. I am going to have another video coming that focused more on the range in Eco (default).
Is that Ryvid's new national commercial? 😂🤣🤣
hahahaha. It is now! 🤣🍻

Nice bike, bro😀.
Thank you! 🍻
Congratulations, are you the very first customer to receive delivery? What number is your bike? I've been following the Ryvid story from the very beginning and am so excited that they've gotten to this point. I hope the bike proves to be a success and the company is profitable with production numbers growing quickly. If things go well I'll probably buy one in a year. I subscribed to your channel (sub #19) and am looking forward to MANY videos from you chronicling your ownership experience. Can't wait to see the real world numbers under all sorts of riding conditions.
Thank you so much for your awesome message! I am not sure but I preordered when they first opened it up last year. I have been following them as well and I have been really enjoying the Ryvid Anthem so far! I can say that it is definitely worth it if you are in the market for an electric motorcycle. You will not be disappointed. I wish the team at Ryvid continued success as well. Thanks for subscribing! I will be posting more content as I am able to. I am in Los Angeles so the riding conditions are pretty consistent here, which to me is a good thing. :)
How do you like your Sandors Metacycle now? Still worth keeping?
Hello! I sold the Sondors Metacycle. In my opinion on the comparison, the Ryvid Anthem is a big upgrade in terms of design, comfort, features, & performance. I am very happy with this purchase.
@@mr.vixter Can you do a closure video on your Sondors experience. What you liked, disliked, how many miles you drove, dealings with the company, cost of ownership, how easy was it to sell, regrets, etc.
@@RPRosen-ki2fk It has been over 6 months since I sold it and I have moved on from the Sondors Metacycle. For me, it just didn't meet my expectations from what was initially set from design, delivery timelines, & overall riding experience. There are quite a few of reviews already out there that you can check out to see what other people's experiences were.
Awesome. Keep the videos coming. We have to enjoy your experiences until we get ours. It would be great to hear some natural sound of the bike. Thanks
Much appreciated. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long. That is a great idea. I will keep that in mind for the next video. 😊
Someone is having a great time ⚡️🤙🏽⚡️🍻
Haha. Thanks and yes!!! 🍻🏍️⚡️
Would a ride on wet roads not send a constant spray of water over the battery housing? Perhaps designed for dry days.
Hello! That is a great question! Per their FAQ about it: "The Anthem can be operated in the rain, taking into consideration the battery’s water resistance rating of IP67 rating and the display’s rating of IP65."
Hi, how much is for this bike? I’m interested in buying a electric bike as my first bike.
Hello! The introductory pricing ended a few weeks ago. The Ryvid Anthem is currently priced at $8,995. You just need $100 to reserve it and there should be a finance option.

@@mr.vixter I'm looking forward to watching your videos. Thanks for sharing your riding tips and techniques with us! :)
Looking good. What's your thoughts on taller riders? Also, did you have choice of a sprocket?
Thanks! I have nothing against taller riders. lol The seat is adjustable from 30-34 inches so both short and tall people can enjoy! The only personalized customization if you wanted was the rear suspension pre-load setting, depending on carrying weight capacity. It can be modified post delivery.
