    Is there any way that actually works for slowing down effectively at those speeds? Also, I know you're good enough thag you rarely fall, if ever 😅 But it scares me to see you going that fast with no protection. Pavement at those speeds is like a belt sander, or worse, on human bodies. It is not fun or worth the risk in my opinion. I have protective and idc if anyone thinks I'm a whimp or look silly because I'm a mom and i want to do things i love but i also have to be able to work to provide for my family and I cant afford to have bad injuries. Looks like a lot of fun, though! I could never get brave enough to go anything close to that fast

    • @rullikutt
      @rullikutt 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I would always respect You for wearing protection gear. I myself always wear a helmet. The danger of falling always remains. Actually 80% of falling on skates are when standing or at very slow speed. As to the falling at those speeds, we have plan A, plan B and even plan C. There are always ways to avoid getting hurt. Getting real low, rolling, going on the grass and so on. As You could see I was wearing wrist guards and a helmet which are the most important imo. Also we have a nice supportive team that don't put other in danger and support each other

      @@rullikutt oh, ok! That's awesome! I just kept looking at your knees though and thinking about videos I've seen of people getting their bodies grinded down by pavement and I couldn't help but shudder at the thought. But I can only imagine how amazing it must feel to go that fast. I know what you mean about going slow, too. You need some speed for most things which is the scary part for beginners. I look forward to more of your videos! I'm glad you have such and awesome group and I didn't mean to imply you had any issues with protective gear. I was just saying that even though I'm 32 and the skate park is full of 16 yr olds not wearing any gear, I don't let it stop me 😊 Thank you for your response! Best wishes to you and your group!

    Thanks for sharing that. I was planning to buy a set of these after liking the Decode 90 frame as well. In the end, I found that I could put 3x125 on the Decode 90 for extreme agility plus an amazing glide, which is now my favorite setup. I was only missing the high-speed stability and rough-road capability of the longer 3x125 or 4x110 setups of the Decode 110. In the end, I decided to get the Powerslide Elite MG 4x110 flat frame for that, since through my own experimentation with the Decode90 frame, I concluded that a flat 4-wheel setup is better at evening out rough surfaces than a 3-wheel or a rockered setup. Which gives me a lower weight and better road-clearance on 4x110, at the cost of losing all the other options that you have with that frame. Curious to know whether you also find that a flat setup on the Decode 110 has a less violent vibration on brick roads than in the rockered mode.

    • @rullikutt
      @rullikutt 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thats really interesting. Need to try that. Thanks for Your input. 🙂

    • @villumartverk8942
      @villumartverk8942 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So, I'm the guy who actually tried these both setups in this video. When it comes to the vibration than always 4 wheels wins over 3 wheels, unless they are really small. For example Endless 100 frame, which is my favorite frame now, has 100mm wheels and has a similar vibration compared to the 3x125 setup. I haven't really felt the vibration difference in balanced rocker and flat - maybe because I haven't recently skated with any flat setups. Also the 110 wheels that we tested with the 4x110 were actually quite soft wheels and not the best performaing wheels in my opinion. I think that the 4x110 setup can be fast and stable setup even with the rocker with good wheels - and also when putting on the scale - the 4x110 weren't actually heavier than the 3x125 to my surprise. And you can always switch to flat configuration with this frame. That is something you can't do with Endless 4x100 - but since I like to skate more in the city - I like the maneuverability of the balanced rocker.

    • @InlinePilot
      @InlinePilot 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@villumartverk8942 I'd really like to try a rockered 4x110, as well as a rockered 5-wheel frame, to get more stability on uneven surfaces while keeping the agility. But since I had that experience of flat being more comfortable over the rough city surfaces that we have here in The Netherlands, I wanted to get the absolute least discomfort I could get while freely exploring urban areas. And the magnesium 4x110 frame weighs only 192 grams, while the Decode110 weighs 450 grams, according to inlinewarehouse. So that's like skating with 3x110 wheels instead of 4x110. And I was surprised I could still do some sharp-turning tricks with it, by putting my weight mostly on the front or back of the frame. Maybe also because of the softness of the 85A hydrogen wheels. Unfortunately, every time I switch from 125mm wheels to anything smaller, there's the disappointment of losing some of that effortless glide...

    I was concerned when I bought my HC Evo boots online. I have a wide foot. Thankfully heat molding seems to have helped considerably. They feel better than I remember my old K2s felt back when I last skated. I'm excited but I'll know for sure when the frames and wheels get here which could be a while (ie. whenever FedEx decides to do their job lol) At any rate I'm locked in because I immediately cut off the appendix toe straps which server no purpose for my foot on skates that are never going to be anything but snug on my EEE wide toes! I do wish one manufacturer made a wide boot. Ideally Altra would make a skate!

    I never had such a good power transfer and response with a skate before I tried the Tau's. Unfortunately, I had many pressure points when putting the Tau's on for the first time. Since they fit me well lengthwise, I heat molded them and they opened up in the toe area. BUT, because there's so little padding in the heel/Achilles area, which gave way after heat molding, the back of my feet on both skates are in contact with the carbon plate (I assume). I can't skate more than 15-30 minutes before tapping out and my feet hurt for days afterward. I tried using thicker socks, ankle booties and wrapping my feet with sports tape, but nothing works. Not sure how to save them now, and I'll probably throw the boots away at this point...

    • @rullikutt
      @rullikutt หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't think there are ways to save them cause You tried everything. Ive had skates that have lots of pressure points but I could change the liner. In Taus You can not. I think You should give up before permanent damage to Your feet maybe. I can imagine the frustration.
