OPERATION 8: Deep in the Forest - Feature Documentary
On October 15, 2007, activists around New Zealand woke to guns in their faces. Black-clad police smashed down doors, dragging families out onto roads. In the rural village of Rūātoki, helicopters hovered while locals were stopped at roadblocks. Operation 8 involved 18 months of invasive surveillance of Māori sovereignty and peace activists accused of attending armed training camps in the Urewera ranges - homeland of the Tūhoe people. Operation 8 asks how and why the raids took place. How did the War on Terror become a global witch-hunt of political dissenters reaching even to the South Pacific?

they are armed offenders squad, not armed defenders, the key word is offenders, did you know they don't need to pass the same firearms checks and balances the rest of us do, i think this legislation needs to be changed, its ok for the army, but not for a civilian force, a force of fuckwits who think the law shines out of their ass, a force with lack of oversight, a force of undercover gangsters hiding behind the legitimacy of a blue uniform and legislation that allows them to jack people up, to create criminals where none existed, just to make out they are doing society a favor, making it up as they go, it seems to me, the police are a force designed to create an underclass so anyone just trying to feed themselves and their families are labeled as a criminal underclass and the basic right to work in better paying jobs, is taken away and replaced with low paying slave labour, because criminals don't deserve to eat, this documentary strikes at the heart freedom and liberty, and the right to be happy. instead we as maori are being marginalized by thought crime, made up crimes, crimes from the imaginations of people who want to steal more resources and the dirty little uniformed slaves who serve their masters to the detriment of true justice. who are the real terrorists, people who own guns for hunting purposes? the unarmed majority with sharp rhetoric, or the fuckwits who use guns to threaten

It seems a bit odd 2 me, i was born in NZ mostly grew up in OZ i don't recall hearing about this here. With all the surveillance and resources they put into Operation 8 how did the NZ powers at be drop the ball in Christchurch 2019. We were told the NZ intelligence, security and the fuzz that over looks at potential terrorism had no resources for years to adequately monitor threats. But like the powers here and proably in NZ they proably thought 'Nah mate he's just one those white nationalist all good he's not a bloody muso". And i belive the inquiry has only just started this year after 4 years, had to look that up as the media proably doesn't want to offend and portray the white colonial majority. Any way very sad affairs. ❤&peace to all on this little blue ball.

Yet another display of how the freedom of New Zealanders has been surreptitiously erroded by government, by scaremongering an uninformed public, convinced by the mantra that "If your not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to fear" to relinquish the basic human rights that we as New Zealanders once cherished... The blatant lies told to the public by the Police & Members of Parliament go unchallenged as they rely on protections bestowed on them by law mean they do not have to abide by the very laws that we the citizens must follow... The corruption & conspiratorial cover ups of thier misdeeds, vastly eclipse the "for the greater good" tactics is disgustingly vile on so many levels.. Protesting, being the only avenue left to citizens who disagree with government & thier militant arm, the police, has been now labeled terrorism. Allowing citizens who dissent to be stripped of their rights ... Its disgusting, frightening & undemocratic & we the people need to wake up to what's happening before it's too late... Before it's your children And family members that are affected, shaking you awake, opening your eyes to the fact it's too late to fight Back as IT HAS BEEN MADE ILLEGAL TO VOICE YOUR OPPOSITION TO ANYTHING... Actio exteriora, indicant interiora secreta (External actions reveal internal secrets) -Maxim of law. 16 years on and this disgusting, shameful and down right unlawful incident by the powers that shouldn't be has left a horrible black stain in our history. The movement was never about anti establishment, but rather about pro freedom, the blame-stream media had no choice but to report what their state funders told them too in an effort to poison the minds of New Zealand society against rural Maori in order to back their failed propaganda drive, as well as beta test their newly implemented legislative oppression in the few years following 9-11 to gauge New Zealand citizens reactions to it, and to show off to their US cohorts. The true terrorists are those in power whether political, corporate or judiciary (Though in this country there is no distinction or separation of powers when there is no ingrained or entrenched constitution to provide the necessary framework of accountability for those in positions of political power, and no separation between legislative and executive branches of government with a judiciary powerless to make any real changes in the review process of laws, their application on the people of this land, or to bring those that make, and enact them, to so-called justice while they are in office due to parliamentary sovereignty also known as parliamentary supremacy) that use the people of a nation and their productivity, property and usurped freedom for their own personal gain. We have in this country a unique system that feigns democracy prima facie, but is anything but underneath, acts of parliament are the supreme law in this country and can, as well as, has contravened the bill of rights, (which is just another act of parliament and not guaranteed to all by way of constitutional reform) as well as breaching all international conventions on Human rights on multiple occasions particularly in regard to Maori. "The old saying that it is a system of law, and not a system of justice is somewhat cynical, but uhmm, unfortunately it is true" -Judith Collins...meaning there is no justice in a "Legal" system being nothing more than a collection of parliament directed processes and procedures, that ironically calls itself the Ministry of "Justice", which translates to, the Ministry of Just-Us. To the rest of New Zealand who don't experience the daily profiling actions of the governments patched gang members otherwise known as the Royal New Zealand Police, who make their oath to a foreign sovereign, their heirs and successors, and not to the people of New Zealand. Qui vult decipi, decipiatur. (Set him who wishes to be deceived, be deceived.) -Maxim of law. To my brethren and sistren in Tuhoe and around our nation. Non decipitur qui scit se decipi. (He is not deceived who know himself to be deceived.) -Maxim of law. To anyone who ever gets to read this comment, though it may get flagged and withdrawn by the platform, Non temere credere, est nervus sapientae. (Not to believe rashly is the nerve of wisdom.) -Maxim of law. My sincerest apologies for writing a near thesis in the comments section of this video, but this isn't even the tip of the wing of a fly, sitting on a penguin turd, on the tip of the iceberg. Kia tau terangimarie (May peace prevail for us all).

P.S. I wrote this comment on the 5th of November, the one day of the year that people get to commemorate a failed act of terrorism that had nothing to do with us in New Zealand by setting off fireworks, how ironic is that? Maybe swap the 5th of November for the 15th of October to be the day we commemorate the failed attempt of government to blame the people of Tuhoe for being terrorists and making explosives by having massive fireworks displays across the country. Remember, remember, Black Mondays cast members, with the governments treason and plot, there is no rhyme or reason, why the scars left by these heathens, should ever be forgot. Just my thoughts.
