Do you do it without removing the whole headlight just as it is?
Yes, no need to remove the whole headlight assembly. Just remove the coolant reservoir tank because the tank is blocking at the back of right side headlamp.
Hi there. Your diagram here is the best thus far at showing how to do this, but with just a still image it is still a challenge. Could you clarify if you are applying the "pointy tool to poke" from the top of the bracket or is it in the protuberance of the bracket on the side? And can you do this on either side or it has to be the side of the cable? Thank you in advance.
Hi, poke into the space labelled by the blue arrow, then slightly pry it. The bracket will pop easily with the pressure exerted on the red shaded region.
You can do it either side, but you have to exert pressure on the same side where you try to pry it.
You should exert the pressure on the shaded region until the bracket touches the bulb body
