    Does the zig zag pattern have more strength than the straight line stitch or is irrelevant?

      Sorry the late reply. Both stitch patterns are the same strength. The weak link is the buckle. Thank you!

    Very innovative. Dude thought this out correctly. Keeping 100% of the velcro in contact with the inner belt is significant! Nobody else has thought of this that I know of. All the tiny issues I have had with other war belts, he has noticed too and has fixed it. I also like how this company seems to always think "light weight" when they are producing products. Awesome!

    Looks like one great piece of kit. Unfortunately I’m already running a Mayflower low profile belt......wish I would have seen this before hand. Looks like you guys really put a lot of thought into your kit.

    Is this good with MOLLE pouches and snap straps?

    • @snakeeatertactical5391
      @snakeeatertactical5391 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The old style molle pouches will work if you run the straps under the velcro channels. They will not slide around the belt, but they may not be super stable. It will depend on what type of pouch you are using.

    I would rather the inner and outer be one piece. This seems to make dawning and doffing a longer process than it should be.

    I like the inner and outer belts but I feel like the padded belt is just a bit too much. If the belt is rigid enough you won't have any comfort issues since it's more or less suspended on your body anyway, I really can't imagine a single scenario where I would actually want a pad, but naturally the belt system can be used without the pad, and the inner belt is designed well so that if you do use the pad you don't get a stupid amount of sweat built up.

    • @snakeeatertactical5391
      @snakeeatertactical5391 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Onseki You are right on many points. The Cobra belt is the load bearing part of the system and can be used without the pad. Especially if you are running minimal gear or soft pouches such as our Burros. The War Belt and inner belt can be purchased separately if the pad isn't needed. Thank you for the comment!

    • @simply_based
      @simply_based 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If anything you'd want the pad between the inner belt and your body

    I've had this belt for just under 2 years and I can honestly say I'm absolutely in love with it, it fits comfortably underneath a parachute harness and is just absolutely a perfect belt. It breathes really well and doesn't trap heat like a lot of other belts will do. 11/10 would highly recommend.

    any chance of getting 1.5 inch color buckles again that are anodized? ive heard the powder coat ones chip a lot.

    • @snakeeatertactical
      @snakeeatertactical 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Currently the only 1.5" buckles that are anodized is the matte Black. We now have the 1.75" Hardcoat which looks just like the anodized and does not chip. It is an awesome dark grey color that goes great with Ranger, Wolf, Coyote and the camo pattern webbing. All of our 1.75" belts come with either the Hardcoat or the matte Black.

    Does the belt have a tendency to loosen during the day when carrying IWB, causing me to make adjustments throughout the day?

    • @snakeeatertactical
      @snakeeatertactical 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine works loose a little during the day so I give it a little tug every once in a while. I still think its better than dealing with velcro on the tail that wears out and gets stuck going through the buckle. Not having velcro also lets the belt have a bigger adjustable range.

    I wear a size 42 in pants but when I measure my waist I measure a 45 or a 46, so my question is should I still order the size that I measured myself even though it's bigger then my pants size?

    What's the difference between the Cobra Riggers Belt 1.75" and the 1.75" duty belt?

    • @snakeeatertactical
      @snakeeatertactical 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything that says Riggers is basically an every day wear belt that goes through your belt loops. The duty belt goes over the belt loops to carry gear as a police officer would.

    • @snakeeatertactical

      +readyme That's my personal plate carrier. I'm experimenting with some design elements so it is not available for purchase at this time.

  • @readyme
    @readyme 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video. One question: the website mentions adding 1" if wearing IWB, but that's not mentioned in the video. I wear IWB about 50% of the time. I measure a 35"... should I order a 36"? Thanks

    • @snakeeatertactical
      @snakeeatertactical 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +readyme Adding 1" will generally work. I would recommend measuring with and without the gun and then split the difference. Our belts have a pretty good adjustment range. The belt I'm wearing in the video is sized to my exact waist, but I can still wear it with and IWB glock and spare mag in the appendix position.

    • @snakeeatertactical
      @snakeeatertactical 8 ปีที่แล้ว
