Brother in 2024 I'm getting into this for the set because it looks good (hollowed yada yada). Wasn't playing yet when it was a new raid. Can I get a tldr; on getting a perfect run since I destroy it solo? 24 mins is brutal (with respect, ty for the guide & effort)

This is my updated 2024 review. AQ3D is still absolutely soulless. It's your typical D tier mmo, but with none of the charm and charisma Adventure Quest Worlds had. Quest design is brain dead and often very ubalanced. Area scaling is atrocious. The classes mostly feel the same, aside from a few. Progression? There is none. You will be very hard pressed to get better gear, and more often than not, the quest rewards won't be worth your time. Why is this still an issue? I'm tired of the artificial difficulty and the terrible drop rates for dcent gear and materials. If the devs were smart, they would of put level based gear vendors in every area, so you could be equipped properly during your adventure. Imagine farming the same boss for hours on end, just to get a single piece of material to make your gear. Also, you have 24 hours to do it. It's a daily boss battle, and the drop rates are absolutely horrendous. I'm level 46, and I've been wearing the same garbage gear I had when I was 40, with some lvl 40-43 armor drops. Why? Because the devs want you to grind for every single thing. By the time you get what you want, you've outgrown it. That's called defeating the purpose of farming. As you play, you will end up in areas where you will be stuck. Either the content is dead and nobody is running it, so you'll be asking for help a lot. Strike 1. You'll see a quest line on your level, and then find out it's some op boss with quadruple hp and big damage, so you have to back out because you can't solo it. Come back later. Or not at all. Strike 2. Enemies are smothered together violently in public areas, making it very easy to have a conga line follow you doggedly. They can and will melt you as you explore, hurting progression haphazardly. Strike 3. This is what happens when devs don't know what the hell they are doing. Enemies have these aoe radials that don't even sync up with the movements made, and the speed in which these radials form make 0 sense. You can slowly strafe left or right, or walk backwards at 2 mph. I'm sorry, what!? Who the hell casually walks out of an aoe? This is dumb. Add a roll button or change the speed of the characters during combat! Also. Lack of classes. The variety here isn't all that great, and I usually just buy them with real money. Either that, or you have to grind for a month. I can't imagine very many people wanting to do that. I sure as hell didn't want to. I got enough to to worry about. If you have friends. Give AQ3D a go. If you play solo mostly, I assure you, you will hate this mmo. Same goes if you don't have anyone to play with. There's gonna be enemies you can't beat by yourself because of scaling. Situations where you need to consult google just to figure out where better gear and weapons are. You're gonna get stuck because you're doing a story in a public area where simply backtracking could kill you. Or? The story wants you to kill a boss, but that boss has adds around him that stack poison, so you drop like a rock. This kind of design philosophy is just evil. There's a ton of areas where you absolutely need people with you or you. The playerbase isn't big enough for that. Not anymore. As you go through the story, you will see large areas with next to no players in them. Most of time it's just you, whether you like it or not. If you think questing will be fine. I ran Nulgath's entire storyline in a week. It was the most tedious and boring drag I ever survived. No help. Few players. Scaled enemies. Lots of mindless fetching and soul destroying busy work. That is questing in AQ3D. Oh, It gets worse. Questing is this complicated system where things just don't make sense. Here's what I mean. 1. Quest wants a bag of dirt. The game isn't clear on where you can get it. So you google it and find out that there is a completely different quest you need to do for it.😠 2: So you're like okay. Quest wants me to do these things for a bag of dirt. So they send you on a wild goose chase and they don't tell you where you need to go. You're just supposed to know.😵 3. So once you google again and find out where, you're still lost! Why? Because the marker is never clear on where your target is! You get a lousy arrow to help you navigate and that's it. Do not complicate your quests this way. Wtf were you guys thinking?🤦 4: Say you finally figured out where to go and stuff. Guess what? 9 times out of 10 you'll be dealing with a an dungeon boss with some cheap trick gimmick. Can't kill him? Too bad. You're not going to get better gear then. AQ3D punishes you for playing alone in dead content. I needed to beat Noxus in a dungeon 4 times, just to even get 10 bags of dirt. Here's thing. Noxus is supposed to be fought with other players. So I solo him until the second phase, which took forever. I couldn't get any help. Then he starts destroying platforms, and you die because you have to control the platforms by yourself! No no no. I'm doing this on either a keyboard and mouse or a blasted touchscreen on my phone, and the camera is giving me trouble. I gave up on the Pheonix Blade. Weapon level 940? Not worth the hell. If you want better gear, those are the kind of quests you will be doing and things gets real confusing. Real fast. You guys made a 3D mmo, and you lot have no bloody clue what to do with the 3D space you have! Combat is so slow and jank, it reminds me of Nightmare Creatures for the PS1! That is not something that should be in my head while playing AQ3D. This isn't better than AQW. It's worse. It's a wall, encased in padding, wanting nothing more than to cut corners and waste your time, by adding bigger numbers and thicker sponges, all to keep you from clearing content too quickly, like, I dunno, a mobile game? This mmo is a love hate relationship because of how messy it is when it comes to long term play. I'd love this game more if it respected my time and progression wasn't done in the dumbest way possible. Also. PVP. Dear god it's awful. It's legit just 1 team picking a target and burning them down before moving to another player. There's no party communication, god knows why. You're supposed to just play with randoms in silence and somehow win. Also. No controller support? People have been wanting that for years. What do you guys even do with the money we give you? You think a touchscreen is better than a controller? Because it isn't. Play AQ3D on mobile if you want to. It's an inferior experience to playing on PC. Get friends. Join a guild. Or don't play AQ3D. If you have neither. You might as well put this mmo down and go play FF14. AQ3D does not respect your time, nor does it make you feel like you've made any progress. Every situation requires a ton of effort and patience for the most trivial of things, and it has to audacity to be on mobile? Farming costs battery life, you know? Before long you'll just drop this game simply out of frustration or boredom. AQ3D doesn't do anything to keep your interest beyond cosmetics which I buy a lot of to support the game, but what's the point if that money isn't going where it needs to go? If you won't make the game better, then get people who will. You guys have a good foundation here, but at this point it'll crumble from lack of players long before AQ3D becomes what it should be. 7 years, Artix. Come on. This is not how you get people to become Gaurdians. This is how you tank your playerbase. I hope you guys have a game plan for the future, because it isn't looking too great. -My Steam Review and it's an outright attack on the game's nonsense.

If one thing i know about Artix games is that they dont just give up and abandon their games. People might leave their games but as long as that man is the CEO of Artix games then no the servers will remain open for as long as he's in power. They are abit slow tho but if you're familiar with this company then thats just par for the course.

The reason I stopped playing multiple times is just because of the grind... Especially the RNG... For example, the new cat day, where you need to do a dungeon until the "secret" boss appear... 😪 The grind made me sleepy and just gave up...

I love using Mage 2nd ability against the enemy then apply the blizzy cross skill, and freezes them for extra seconds giving me room to apply fireball or thunder!

AH TY. i have been so confused an frustrated trying to figure out how to use water pumps.

Been playin awhile now. Got a farm setup, etc. I’m on an oil field, I pump both polluted water and oil. I used to run 18 pumps at once. I ran a raid and lost a few in the raid. I stayed at around 10 after (got lazy and didn’t rebuild them) but now I’m capped? I can’t build anymore pumps. So is there a reason for said cap? I’m not reaching cap on anything. I’m actually short over 100 for most things except generator max. The generator max is 7. Which I’m capped at rn. But I can’t build anymore pumps. Is there a specific reason?

when i connect my pipes all the water goes down to the water pump not up even when connecting the pipes to the smaller water pump

Hows your sprinkler to sprinkler system setup? I cant get water to the 2nd sprinkler the flow is going the correct way

Hello, there is currently a 50% promotion on Steam for the game Nevergrind Online, do you play it?

There are some (major) points I agree but also a lot of points I disagree upon. First, the "objective" chapter has several points that arent really objective. If you say "a game shouldn't have a lot of bugs", yeah, thats objective. But a minimap? Kinda subjective. Never really needed it. World chat? Heck no, thats one of the last things I want in the game. Not wanting to say that your opinion isnt as valid as mine or anybody else's, just wanted to point out that many things regarding this medium are very subjective. I really like your thoughts about "downtime content". I often hit the point where I played through the content and wished for more little things to do that would keep me busy a bit. Wouldnt even need to have a drop chance bonus, it just needs a way to lead players to a certain part of the world for a week. For example I still dont have the rare pet from the dreadzard t-rex. Would totally keep doing that if there was a thing where we would all farm that for a week. On the matter of design notes and make the Devs work a) more transparent and b) more visible I assume the reason for it is that it would be a lot of additional work that they dont have time for. Maybe Beleen could more into that direction, I def would like to see some sort of dev blog. I 100% agree with you on the disconnected story & confusing progression system. When I started (over two years ago) I sometimes was confused about which sequence I should do the content in and I believe it is worse now. Not a problem for longtime players who play everything at release or at least within a couple of weeks after the release. But like every other MMO its essencial that new players join the community, and the whole game should be less confusing/hostile to them. A big negative example is the Fiendlands Saga, which must be super confusing to new players. I met a guy a couple weeks back who was max lvl (45 back then) who had no clue how to obtain nation void scrap, just to give an example. I dont blame him, the quest from skew that opens up the additional quests from Thok is so easy to miss. Apart from the confusing progression on a technical level the game is very disconnected on a narrative level. I kinda like that it is divided in chapters, each of which tells another story. What I dont like is that they feel like they could play on different planets. There are not enough reoccuring NPCs or Factions. I think especially with reoccuring factions the whole world of Lore could feel more tied together without giving up the approach of independant story-chapters.
