This is an amazing series! Thank you for taking the time to make it. I’m painting Grimdark space marines but the ideas/techniques and philosophy is outlined so well here that it still applies even though the minis I’m painting are very different

Try one thing I saw on Ammo MiG videos. Instead of wiping off enamels with spirits, try wiping with water. It will give you very realistic gunky dirty spots.

using your information and videos i came third in my local gamesworkshop miniture of the month. i didnt get anywhere with my khorne jakal but the jade warrior grimdarked with streaking grime go me third. very happy for my first real contest.

Bosh ,Durer,Bruegel were very important to John Blanche to create his grimdark universe.. Didn't know the movie ,will go to see it ! 2 greats oil colors for grimdark washes: -Caput mortem or "Tête morte violette " in french. -Van Dyck brown. Great videos,love it !
