La Regata Veneziana
มุมมอง 22516 ปีที่แล้ว
Two of the most gorgeous ladies I've ever had the honor of calling my friends singing La Regata Veneziana at the SCC Spring Concert May 17th, 2008 at the Suisun Harbor Theater. Again, just like God is Seen and Walkin' Down that Glory Road this was all done on my cell phone so I'm sorry once again for the bad quality and sound. Any comments about that, shall and will be deleted. Thanks ^_^
Walkin' Down that Glory Road
มุมมอง 3.3K16 ปีที่แล้ว
The Solano Community College Chamber Choir singing Walkin' Down that Glory Road at the Suisun City Harbor Theater on May 17th, 2008. This was part of their Spring concert. Just like with my last video of this group, God is Seen, this was recorded on my cell phone so if there are any complaints or whining about the quality and sound, they will be deleted. Thanks ^_^
God is Seen

The Solano Community College Chamber Choir singing God is Seen on May 17th, 2008 at the Suisun Harbor Theater. They are completing their Spring semester and the concert was amazing! I appologize for the quality and miniscule-ness of the video, these videos were all captured on my cell phone. I did my best so any comments regarding the quality will be removed. Thanks! ^_^ *NOTE: I started record...
Mockumentary: The Sequal

Since I don't have a proper video editing system to edit these two videos together, this is the conclusion of Mockumentary.

In His Presence

This is a video I recorded on my cell phone of my friend Richard and his mom singing at the Solano Community College Student Showcase. It's kind of low in volume so sorry about that ^^;
The Longest Time
มุมมอง 22017 ปีที่แล้ว
This is another Solano Chamber Choir video recorded on my cellphone of the Tenors and Basses singing "The Longest Time" by Billy Joel. This was during our dress rehersal for our Spring Concert at the end of the Spring '07 semester. I will be posting a funnier version of this same song that some of the choir girls who have TH-cam accounts will hopefully enjoy ^_^

Not hating because I went to Armijo but this show sucked. Equpitment work was everywhere. Not in the right planes or anything and whoever wrote it knows tht is was way over written.
I used to sing this in the choir! I still know all the latin lyrics off by heart...
i lyke dis shyt, yall go.
oh my godddd. blast from the past! i'm in there. it's crazy to see how far everyone has come since then.
heey, i know some of those ppl =]
This was three years ago lol but next time I do this song I will keep your comment in mind. As for our guys...they were a bunch of shy ones lol...there's only 7 of them compared to the over abundance of girls lol. This college choir has always been like that. It's sad T_T
thank you so much.... my mom and i sing it on occasion
Thanks for the compliment! If we get together again hopefully we'll get all of the kinks worked out before recording! Thanks so much!
the pair on the right sound really good, but one women on the left is really nasally- she needs to learn how to round her vowels and resonate the note. We are singing this in my chorus class right now. Good job!
nice music!
Thanks for the rating and comment! This group is performing at the Senior Citizen Center in Fairfield, CA so I"m hoping to record the WHOLE thing on my digital camera. I hope. BUt I will definitely post more!
It could be worse ^^; your chorus teacher could pick a song called "My Soul is Anchored in the Lord" THAT WAS HORRIBLE to sing! So many accidentals and when those make a chord *shudders* that was an interesting song
I got the solo for my choir for this song. This version is WAYYY too slow Speed it up :)
ah... the wonderful but frantic mars volta show. love it!
it feels too slow, but its GREAT! and try to attack more of the notes.
even though the song is a cappella, you can still have a LOT of energy. my choir performs this song a cappella.
Thanks for the idea! I'll look into that!
I have the same problem with holding the video camera steady so I bought a light weight tripod! Your videos will look much better if you use one!
I wish you would allow ratings, even with the lack of energy this is outstanding. Especialy since it's accapella. The dynamics are amazing too.
I agree, the piano is deffinatly a must with its chords, but there's one or two parts that it is a little dull where their singing could use a tiny bit of energy. All in all a great performance.
We had a French Horn player as well except he was sick the day I recorded this. He played at our concert though and it went well. Good luck with your performance! I hope to see a recording of it soon! Have fun with it! ^_^ Thanks for commenting
this is really good! the only think I would say needs some more work (or needs to be a tad bit more noticeable) is the dynamics. its kind of hard to notice the difference between the forte and the piano in this song. but otherwise, good job! ^^
LMAO that was great. Makes me miss the good old times.
Love the song, but not the way it is performed. It seems like seeing as you are performing the piece so slow, you could clean some things up. Dynamcs, vowels, releases and attacks. Besides that and tuning, it's GREAT!
it does seem to lack some energy doesn't it?
ok....you guys sound great, your harmonies are perfect, dynamics amazing... but this song is supposed to be more up tempo...but other then that great!
This is the album Frances the Mute by Mars Volta. The first songs are Sarcophagi and Umbilical Syllables from Cygnus Vismund Cygnus. Next is L'via L'Viaquez. The tango Omega refers to is the slow part in the middle of L'via. Then there are parts of Cassandra Gemini, including Sarcophagi repeated from the beginning. That is what Omega called the Closer, named that to differentiate it from Sarcophagi at the opening of the show. I know because I am one of the mallet players in the video.
i sang this song two years ago in my Chamber choir.Go Middletown!!!!!!!!!! go Tenor 1's
some advice...this sounds sooo drawn out...be sharper on some of the parts...Chris-tian journey...etc also on the trimmed part...do something like "keep your lamps...trimmmmmmmmed and burning...etc" "til your work is donnnnnnnnnnnnnne"
I believe the album is frances the mute. The song is Cygnus Vismund Cignus, They called the middle song portion of the show the tango, but I dont think that was the actual name, could have been though. second to last song is L'via, then the last song was called closer, but again, the last one may have been made up. I'm positive on Cygnus and L'via though.
i love this song...if it was a little slower...
Thanks for uploading this!
Wow, you got in really close!
the school they are performing in isn't from Fairfield, but the Drumline you see performing is from Fairfield, California
is this in fairfeild cal right i use to go to scholl at david wear and golden west jounre high
Well, according to how my friend titled this video when she put it on her myspace...the group is called Mars Volta and I believe the song is called Frances the Mute. That's the best of my knowledge ^^;
