Close call!
Toyota driver was running a red light as I was coming down the road. Skidded my rear tire while braking and release brake before impact to swerve around. Could of been other ways I could've handled this situation better, but everyone walked away.

1965 Ford F100 New engine, transmission, rear end, all new accessories on the engine, new u-joints, now a whole new fuel system. Next will be new power front disc brake conversion.

65mph - your speed limits seem weirdly low on such good roads. Nice bike tho, thinking about buying one but they aren't very cheap in Europe

Thanks for the video. I own a Harley but I've always loved the looks and the idea of the long stroke single cylinder of the Suzuki S40. Now I know the S40 can handle highway speeds. I rarely go faster than 62 or 63 mph. I figure if somebody behind me wants to go faster they are always welcome to pass. Suzuki has dropped the S40 from their line up for now, but I hope they bring it back maybe with a redesign. In order to sell them in Europe they will have to add EFI disc brake on the rear wheel and ABS. Who knows what the future holds???
Incredible bike the s40's are. I just stick to 65mph (the speed limit here on the interstate/highway in my area) limit here. I may go 70mph once in a while, but I'm a careful rider. No reason to ride like a jack*ss. Has incredible torque. My speedometer is 5mph off, so when I go 70mph on the speedo, it's actually 65mph. Always been that way for some reason. Ride slow, lookout for everything, and just let the impatient people pass. Biggest thing is, just enjoy the ride, smile, wave at the kids in passing cars, and love life. The s40 weighs less than 400lbs and is perfect for smaller riders (I stand at a whopping 5 foot 3 inches haha!) But isn't bad for taller riders.
Love my 2015 but if they bring it back with fuel injection, I will be the first one in line.

I'm really set on a indian scout for myself but haven't got a chance to sit on one yet I sat on a bulavaurd c50t and it fit me quit nice for being a smaller rider, it might be a alternative to the scout if it dont fit my structure when time comes but I will choose the 90c model if so...due to my experience riding my 2012 z1000 and my 2019 kx100 dirt bike
What's the speed limit there and how does the bike handle the highway and top speed looking for a small capable bike for my wife she sat on one today at our local powersports and it fit her perfectly
I've only taken this bike up to 70MPH. Probably could go faster, but it doesn't like it much faster. The handling of this bike is amazing! Very lightweight bike at 380lbs
Thanks alot il keep that in mind when shopping for her bike I plan on getting her on the road with me I travel about 3 hrs to san Antonio with my friends for fun and vacation and the river walk...but also considering a Vulcan s or vulcan custom both are also beginning bikes and will fit her structure
@@carlostrujillo3854 vulcans are good bikes as well! I have done long trips on this bike (with a few breaks in between to stretch and what not) and it does real well. Vibration wise, it's a little on the heavier side due to it being a one cylinder, but not bad at all.

I need a wind screen for my S40, yours looks nice, what brand is it? Easy to install?
Mine came on the bike from factory, with a "boulevard" sticker on the front of it. Should be able to do an online order to get yourself one. But it is short. Doesn't block the face from wind. I have the gopro mounted on my chin of the full faced helmet, so it might make the windshield look bigger than it is. Haha!

The beauty of the Savage/S40 is its pure simplicity. Simple basic design. 652cc thumper with GOBS of torque!!! Still the same bike since the mid 80's . Great power, simple to work on at a great price. Nice bike!!!!
I think you nailed the description of our bikes but I would add that it is also light with a low center of gravity. As a senior with a disability I can no longer ride heavy bikes. I also don't want chain maintenance for the same reason and our bike is the only lightweight cruiser that I know of with belt drive besides the HD 883. I did see info that CF Moto is going to bring it's new 450 CL-C cruiser to America. If that happens, I will be very interested to try it because it has more power than the S40, plus fuel injection and belt drive.
@@brunothepug8807 While im 50 yrs old i don't want to be pinned under a 600 lb bike .... This bike is only 375 lbs, seat is low, lots of torque and plenty of hwy power. Single cylinder with 650cc of muscle and simple carb ... Can't be beat. While i have owned mine since 2013, i have NOT seen 1 in my city ...... yet so its def a rare bike.
Amen ... owned mine since 2013 and i love it. Simple bike, single cylinder, air cooled, no coolant, no radiator, no computer, single carb, 375 lbs light, low seat height .... I LOVE keeping it simple

and what about vibrations in ur hands? i read it was not confortable in a long travel because its monocilinder
i want this motorcycle for longs travel, 500 or 1000km in a weekend. And i have another question, how is the performance on roads with climbs?
@@TheWerometal has a lot of torque for a one cylinder, so no issues climbing. Not bad vibration in the hands at all. Feet gets vibrated mostly on the foot pegs. But I take this bike on long rides all the time, no issues.

Your S40 seems smoother on the highway than most videos I've seen. I've got a 2005.
Its stock with like 5 thousand miles on it. Only thing of done different since this video, was a new exhaust
