Bro I’ve been drumming for 2 months. And playing the double pedals for less than a month. I’m not in a position to get lessons so I’m learning from Cameron fluery one of the best double bass drummers out there.

Hate all you want imma still keep drumming and still play my kit regardless of what you or anyone else thinks.

I second this excellent advice

My hat stand is messed up. The way I have it set now is the highest it will go and that’s with the pedal off the ground. It doesn’t operate like it should. Meaning it doesn’t open and close. So I play closed all the time. And if I set like it’s supposed to it’s still super short

My drum heads are as close as I can get them.

I fixed my hi hat stand. But the drum heads only turn up and down and swing out or swing in. I can’t physically move them closer to me

My hi hat stand is messed up, it doesn’t work properly. The toms are right where I want em. It’s comfortable for me.

@@chrisstephens5719 when playing longer and more complexes beats or grooves, it requires you to have your toms closer to the snare for a smooth transition. Good thing about acoustic drums is everything is simple mechanical parts. You can always replace parts on their own. Try and find out the fault in ur hi hat, it would really make your drumming improve!

It’s the stand. The whole rod moves. The spring in it is junk, is why it doesn’t operate like it’s supposed to

I adjusted them last night. I didn’t know you could move em around like I did last night.

Yeah I made it. It’s 1 12ft 2x6 board with a 6ft of pvc pipe. And then 4 corner braces on the under side of the boards

I was just doing regular shuvs not pop shuvs.
