Nomad Dreaming
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ก.ย. 2021
Having spent 7 years as a grey nomad, I have thousands of photos and videos from all over Australia. This channel is a way of sharing my love of Australia to anyone who is interested. Please enjoy .
Big Red
Big Red is the tallest sand dune in the Simpson Desert. It stands 40 meters above ground level. Situated 35K west of Birdsville in far southwestern Queensland, it is the home to the most remote music festival on Earth (Big Red Bash) and is a bucket list place for many Aussies.

Resealing our local road

It's interesting watching how roads are resealed. Spraying the bitumen, covering it with blue metal and finally rolling it.
Nundle Woollen Mill

A short video on the Nundle Woollen Mill just outside Tamworth in New Soth Wales. This mill takes raw wool and converts it into knitting yarn. A real must see if you are touring the area.
Wollomombi Falls
มุมมอง 2303 หลายเดือนก่อน
On the northern end of the Oxley Wild River National Park in New South Wales is the state's tallest waterfall. Wollomombi Falls drops 260 meters into the Chandler River, a tributary of the Clarence River. Although the water flow was low, it is still a great sight to see.

Girraween National Park is located on the Granite Belt region of Southeast Queensland. It is littered with giant granite boulders of all shapes and sizes. Many have formed interesting features as they have weathered away over millions of years.
Masked Lapwing chicks are so cute
มุมมอง 634 หลายเดือนก่อน
Its breeding season for Masked Lapwings. Most Australians know them as Spurwinged Plover, but their name was changed a couple of years ago. Still the same bird, just a new name. Mid to late winter is their breeding season and the first new chicks are out and about. So, if you get bombed by a Lapwing, chances are it has a chick nearby.

Who took their Chevy to the levy?
มุมมอง 378 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Chevrolet car club of Queensland recently held their annual meet in Stanthorpe. With over 50 vintage and classic Chevys in town for a week, it was a car watchers dream. And to see them lined up at our town levy was really special. (I took my Chevy to the levy)
Jousting
มุมมอง 2399 หลายเดือนก่อน
At a recent Heavy Hose field day, a group of enthusiasts put on a display of Jousting. Very well-trained horses and brave contenders. This was at Allora, a small village in the Darling Downs region of Southeast Queensland.
Storm Build Up

Some recent time lapse photography of a summer storm build up. Unfortunately, this build up bought us nothing. Just after I finished filming, the storm front collapsed.
Braeside Homestead and Gardens
มุมมอง 269 หลายเดือนก่อน
Braeside is an historical property in the Southern Downs region of Southeast Queensland. The gardens were recently opened to the public as part of an open gardens section of our local apple harvest festival. The gardens are magnificent, as is the homestead. Well worth the visit.

texas chain saw massacre (1974) vibes ahaha, very cool
Just viewed the Tassy Fishing video, how good was it in those days, today those areas are possibly banned from camping,
Yes they probably are.
What a wonderful day we shared together. Fantastic photos.
Great history lesson
Moronic. You tow it out to the horizon.
Prevailing winds and tidal flows in Bass Strait would have the caraccas washing up further along the coast. Towing out to sea was not a viable option.
Fantastic day. Beautiful views
Very interesting to watch 0:28
Fantastic Robert. Loved it when we were there
I can remember that being in Burnie.
I remember that day. I was in shock. Didn't think it would happen in Burnie tas
Love Coral Bay. Brings back memories
Awesome camping in those days. Love it
Glad to see that after all the devestating floods there are still cattle left
These were taken before all the flooding. The one where the motor bike is, would be under meters of water at the moment. It was back in 2016.
Love this. I rember it well.

Nice restoration work! I have a similar instrument possibly also made in Germany, Mine looks like a pedal steel guitar fretboard with all of the zither strings as well. I am a professional bassist and guitarist and I have a good luthier that can probably restore my zither, The funny thing is, I found the instrument in Kentucky while on vacation at my home in a flea market.
Thanks for the comments. I am not a musician at all, wouldn't know one note from the other. But I did enjoy restoring a family heirloom.
