Jake invited them to join the town’s Christmas Eve celebration, and they eagerly agreed. “We were feeling a little homesick, but now we feel like we belong here,” Mr. Green said warmly.
As Christmas Eve turned into night, the town square came alive with music and joy. The big Christmas tree in the center sparkled with golden lights, and everyone gathered around to sing carols. Emma, Jake, Sophie, and their new friends stood hand in hand, feeling the magic of the moment.
But the story doesn’t end there. A surprise was waiting for Emma and her friends. After the carols, Mr. Bennett stepped forward, holding a small box. “I’d like to give this to the Christmas Helpers,” he said. Inside the box was a beautiful ornament shaped like a star. “This star reminds me of what you’ve done for our town. You’ve brought light to everyone’s hearts.”
Emma’s eyes filled with tears as she hung the star on the tree. “Thank you, Mr. Bennett,” she said. “But the real gift is seeing everyone so happy.”
