Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival 2024
The Daemon family returns for our 3rd year to #MAOF, the Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival, put on by @MainLineOverland. Not only did we attend this year, enjoying our return to that beautiful hay farm in central PA, but we also team up with @moodsofoverland to finally take a shot at the MAOF trophy challenge course! We seek out @purplelizardmaps for a ride through #Rothrock state forest, and catch up with plenty of festival friends, old and new!

This includes staying on trails designated as state roads or otherwise marked as permitted. We believe if you treat the environment with respect, it will remain enjoyable for everyone for years to come.

Great video, congrats on the off road course. Not sure if you remember but I was at the 2023 festival in my 1st gen Sequoia. You were checking in and I shouted " hey I saw you on TH-cam" 😂
Glad the weather ended up good after the rain. Not gonna lie, I immediately went and downloaded that radar app lol
There was that moment of hesitation a couple days before, and I noticed some folks not show up who were planning to... I'm glad we stuck to it! As for the app; I'm a bit of a weather app junkie and 'My Radar' is definitely my current favorite.

I’m glad we could help out! PA has done a lot to streamline the reservation system, but the photos are one thing they could improve on for sure. That was one or more favorite campground camp site. Not a lot of flat space tent-wise, but a lot of space overall. And where campgrounds tend to be crowded, we found this one to give us enough space to relax and enjoy. We hope you do too! Enjoy!

Hey, no problem! We started at Old Summit Rd where the large sign with the rules for the grounds is. I was actually just there again a few weeks ago and the dirt roads were packed and maintained, but it was still a nice drive!

I know, I’ve been sitting on it for so long! We ran into some situations that took us from the trails for a while, but we’re getting back into the swing of things so I hope to be sharing more content soon!

Just ran the Loop last Saturday in the rain. Holy cow was the water high. Was alone so actually skipped the crossing of Red Run over to that little dead end spot bc it was so high and the flow was so fast. Beautiful though in the rain- there were falls everywhere.

I can respect your opinion, but do you have anything constructive that we could do to improve?
If you go there during a light rain or a day after a heavy rain, you can more of “mudding” type of experience on the trails by the dog training area.
Nice video. Those whippoorwills are incessant sometimes up there at our cabin. I keep a pair of squishy earplugs packed. Have fun out there!

Terrific video! I have yet to try Sharpback but I've been on other trails up there. When the tired popped the bead was it aired down? How much? Have fun out there and enjoy the time with the kids!

Thanks for taking us along. So cool to celebrate the 10th Birthday. My son turned 10 in May and he wanted to celebrate at his favorite motorized site in Tuscarora. He would love those checkers...but his request was battleship and a new Yahtzee game. I really enjoy the cooking also. I love shrimp...however it treats me terrible...🤢 So cool to get to spend time with fellow enthusiasts. Great Video.

It's good up in bellplains , I live in cape may court house, know exactly where your at , the high lines are a nice run , and side trails get deep , hunter mills gets good and Estelle manor . They took away the highline trails in court house and put bike paths, used to be able to take them right up to bellplains state forest. Very nice video
Bellplain is a nice change from where most go, up in Wharton, we've been back a couple times since and have plenty more to explore there! Thanks for checking us out!

I just came across your videos. I feel like I've seen your vehicle before when we were traveling. At times, do you drive around with s trailer?
We've been all over the Pines, a couple times we've brought a small cargo trailer when camping. That trailer is now very identifiable in our newest videos!

As far as I’m aware this is for only fully licensed and street legal vehicle; however, the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System is not far away and it’s suppose to be great!

This would have been starting south of Batsto Village, going north up Batsto Lake Road, left at the intersection with Quaker Bridge Road... but from there I don't recall! We'll be working to provide gpx files of our travels soon though!

Wampler/Gettis Ridge being the one you were on...the other Drivable trail in Rothrock is Leading Ridge Road on the west side of Rt. 26(South Rothrock)

@@daemonadventures you could just head out from the farm and turn left onto 305 instead of right. If you want to maximize dirt/gravel, turn right onto Chesney Rd/White Deer rd which ultimately becomes Tram road. Left onto PA Furnace road, then Left onto Diamond Valley Rd. And one more right and you are on Leading Ridge Road. If you just want to get to the drivable trail continue down 305 to a right onto Globe Run Road and then a left onto Leading Ridge. There are many more great vistas that loop back around to Whipped Dam from the west. A great picnic area also and motorized campsites 1 and 2 can be checked out. If you want a longer route on dirt/gravel before the drivable trail...just headright out the farm to Whipple Dam and continue North on 26 until you make a left onto Harrys Valley Rd...or for an even better route, up over PA Furnace road continue past for Kepler Rd. So many ways to do it, but over all it is actually closer than Wampler Road .
Now that's a family fun day out, haven't been to the pine barrens since the 70s and 80s, heading out there this Saturday morning with a group I've never met, living in Bucks County PA not a bad ride, would like to hook up NEORC one day
