Baroque In The North is a performing arts charitable organisation specialising in historically-informed, period instrument, performances of Early Music. We provide Music in Schools, Come and Play days, and Concerts. Our charitable aims include education and accessibility to live music.

This is a snapshot of the sort of work we do with choirs, collaborating with them to bring to life Baroque masterpieces such as Vivaldi's Gloria. This is a live recording of Baroque In The North with St George's Singers (Poynton) at a concert in the amazing Gorton Monastery.

my question is why music in the back so loud that we don't hear the cellist saying ? All the time ?
Similar to Irish bowing with down beat articulation in some subtle ways
I don’t know anything about Irish bowing but I have noticed that my students who also play (Scottish) fiddle find it very easy to adapt their bow arm when they start baroque violin.
Can a absolute beginner learn how to play the baroque cello?!
Yes absolutely! On the basis that you need a good basic technique on baroque cello just as you do on modern cello.

I have a 5 String Cello strung w/ Helicore Strings which sound like Gut Strings due to their Steel-Rope Core & also extra high damping
