I am a dishwasher in a restaurant. Our machine is a piece of sh*t. I have to pre scrub everything pretty much because the machine can't handle it. It's very time consuming. The machine is an S.E. Rykoff model.

Wow, this really shows how weak my training was. All this time I thought it was a requirement to wash cups/glasses twice. Not to mention there's a coworker that doesn't even run the silverware through twice... This is someone that has been working there for around 5 years.. At least for me, I like dishwashing. Didn't really mind it even on a day that I had to do a double 7:30am-9pm(at the time) and since my car wasn't running at the time, I had to walk about an hour and a half to get to work as well. Once I got through those shifts, everything else felt easier.

The sound of the high efficiency Amana appears to have been muffled in this video to sound less annoying. In fact, the sound in this video is close to the sound of an old fashioned washer - just missing the sound of water splashing. In reality, your new " he" Amana will make four or more strange sounds, all annoying and best kept in a basement or garage where you won't be exposed. The agitator sound is a harsh metallic whir.
