Runs of Summit at Snoqualmie
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 11 มี.ค. 2021
This is a collection of videos showing different runs at the Summit at Snoqualmie. My goal is to have a video for every run, but that will probably take a few years. When I get the chance, I'll shoot a few videos here and there and upload them. The idea is you can see how to access runs and what they look like before you leave home, like an interactive trail map.
Got specific requests for runs? Let me know!
This channel is not affiliated with the Summit at Snoqualmie, and any opinions expressed are mine alone and not those of the Summit at Snoqualmie or Boyne Resorts. It's just a guy with a camera, folks, not a company here.

Alpental - Debbie's Gold - March 2021
Guide down Debbie's Gold at Alpental taken on 13 March 2021. This is a groomed blue run, the easiest blue that's always open at Alpental. Sessel and St. Bernard are easier runs, but this gets a lot of traffic as a primary run at the resort, and is more enjoyable with some rolls and turns along the route.

Alpental - Strawberry Hill - March 2021
มุมมอง 8273 ปีที่แล้ว
Guide down Strawberry Hill at Alpental taken on 13 March 2021. In the video I say I don't know the name of this run, but I've since been told it's Strawberry Hill. If you know differently, let me know in the comments below. Strawberry Hill is next to Ingrid's Inspiration, and similar but a little longer. It's a tad steeper, and it benefits from being harder to get to, and thus holds on to snow ...
Alpental - Powder Bowl - March 2021
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Guide down Powder Bowl at Alpental taken on 13 March 2021. One of the easier routes down from Chair 2, Powder Bowl often stays untracked while more easily accessed routes get skied out. It is frequently skied out by lunch, however. The run is marked as a black diamond, but it's easier than many of of the other routes down. The traverse to Powder Bowl can be difficult depending on snow condition...
Central - Freefall - April 2021
มุมมอง 1.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Guide down skier's left of Freefall at Central taken on 5 April 2021. Freefall is the easiest of the four chutes between Central Express and Triple60 lifts, accessed via the Triple60 lift. In this video I come in far left, but if you go to the next gate you can access it on the right side, where there are fewer trees. Overall, it's a moderately steep ungroomed black diamond with sparse trees.
Alpental Backcountry Trashcan May 2021
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Run down Trashcan in the Alpental backcountry taken on 2 May 2021. Late season closing day with some nice holes to provide extra hazards. Unlike my other guide videos, this has no commentary, for two reasons. First, I don't claim to be an expert on these runs. Second, once you leave the ski area, there are unmarked hazards, and terrain can change quickly with little advance notice. Any guide th...
Alpental Backcountry Great Scott Bowl May 2021
มุมมอง 1.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Run down Great Scott Bowl in the Alpental backcountry taken on 2 May 2021. Pretty much as far out as you can go without serious uphill travel. Unlike my other guide videos, this has no commentary, for two reasons. First, I don't claim to be an expert on these runs. Second, once you leave the ski area, there are unmarked hazards, and terrain can change quickly with little advance notice. Any gui...
West - Lower Crossover to Central - March 2021
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Guide through the lower crossover from West to Central taken on 12 March 2021. There are two crossover trails that allow you to go from West to Central. The upper trail requires you take either Parachute or Mountaineers, both black diamonds. This video shows how you can go from Dodge Ridge, Pacific Crest, or Wildside to Central Base area, without skiing anything more difficult than a moderately...
Alpental - Chair 2 - March 2021
มุมมอง 2.9K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Guide up Chair 2 at Alpental taken on 11 March 2021.. My goal is to show what various runs down Snoqualmie look like, but I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in videos of the chairs going up. If you like this, leave a comment and I'll record more. The chairs are slow, so there's not much action, but I point out interesting views and some of the runs visible from the chair.
Alpental - Upper International - Adrenaline - Felsen - March 2021
มุมมอง 19K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Guide down Upper International, Adrenaline, and Felsen at Alpental taken on 11 March 2021. All of these are very advanced runs, which together make a pretty awesome but challenging route from the top of Chair 2 to the base lodge. Upper International is a signature mogul run at Alpental, while Adrenaline is one of the steepest marked runs in the country. Felsen starts fairly tame, but gets progr...
Central - West Crossover - March 2021
มุมมอง 2.5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Guide through the crossover from Central to West taken on 12 March 2021. West, Central, and East base areas at the Summit at Snoqualmie are all connected, and this video shows the easiest route from Central to West. Although typically described as advanced, I show the easiest route which can be navigated by anyone who can do green runs with short radius turns. Because the path is narrow, you'll...
Central - Rip Chute - March 2021
มุมมอง 1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Guide down Rip Chute at Central taken on 13 March 2021. Rip Chute is not on the trail map, but is located between Parachute and Rip Cord. I recommend it on powder days, but it was pretty good in this spring snow as well. I come in from the very top, to show the entire run, but most people will come in a little lower to avoid the branches.
Alpental - Chair 2 run - Kante to Rollen to Gun mount to The Fan - March 2021
มุมมอง 4K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a ski run under Chair 2 at Alpental. Using several different named runs, including Kante, Rollen, Gunmount, and The Fan, I demonstrate a fairly challenging route back to the bottom of Chair 2, staying close to the chair the entire way down. Deep snowpack in the video hides some cliffs that can be on this run earlier in the season.
Alpental - Kante - Shot Six - March 2021
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Ski through of Kante and Shot Six at Alpental, under icy and Cascade concrete conditions. Start from Chair 2, ending at the base lodge. This is a difficult run, but often holds powder longer than more easily accessed runs.
The snow is great cmon out The snow:
Kante used to go much closer to the cliff edge and was actually dangerous. there was a jump near the top where you could look left and see the lodge. I worked at Alpental for years and it is very beautiful place. International at Alpental was the 2nd steepest run in USA and Park City Utah had The Plunge as #1. Very nice run when it's fresh powder but treacherous when Icy.
Fun times! #Keep$hredin'
Thank you. I’ve had one of your photos from the bark ball on my wall at Alpy for years. (22 years at my house on the hill road…) I finally searched “Fergie Alpental” and learned how instrumental you’ve been to my experience here. You have my sincere gratitude for all you’ve given to our community. 💛✨
I'm glad to hear my photo has a good home! I've not been active with this project lately, but I really would get back on it. I moved up here last winter though, so I'm here all the time now!
Which run at upper international is better for first timers, im guessing adrenaline right
Adrenaline is extremely steep! For your first time up Chair Two, I'd make an immediate left off the chair and come down the bowl. For the first time on Upper International, stay on International and take Lower International.
@runsofsummitatsnoqualmie353 I've done the very steep runs at summit central, so I think I can handle adrenaline lol. And I've done the black diamond run at silver fur
Well did ya send 'er yet Brian??
Wow, moguls, to moguls, to more moguls. Incredible.
Great video! I love Alpental!
Look at that snowpack!!! WE NEED SNOW!!!!
Now there is a lot of snow there!
Is there a lower crossover from Central to West? The upper crossover is a little steep.
That old chair lift is a bit skeeeeeetchie.
very very good informative video, i needed this, thank you very much
Did this today (January 1st). Definitely in the 30-40 feet of the ground camp 😬
Nice run I'll see it myself soon
this was first double-black run I ever did.
Love Shot Six -- brings back good memories!
Great video. You just brought back a rush of memories for me from the 1990's.
Great video. I forgot how old chair 2 is. The last time I rode Alpental was March 1, 2000. First time ever I got hurt (broken tibia) and had to ride the stretcher sled to the bottom. Then laid in the back of my friends SUV drinking Ranier while getting mocked by my friends. The dropped me at Swedish Medical Center and I got the hard cast put on from my groin to the tips of my toes.
Next season could you do a video of revenge?
This really shows how tracked out and icy it can be even in March.
nice sun. have not done international in 30 years. thanks for the vid
Looks like a great day🎉.
Thanks for showing the mountain… I skied Alpental only once a few years ago when I was still a rookie, I only skied the lower chair cause of my inexperience… I’m much more advanced now, and looking forward to returning to ski the upper terrain!
I always rip the cliff on the left side of adrenaline but it gets kinda sketch with low coverage or ice
wouldnt send shit listening to that crunch! fuck I miss Alpy.
Thx for sharing... too bad wasn't powder. I'm glad Alpy is still true with the double chair.
hows this run on icy days? ive never tried it before but have been wanting to for a long time.
Ok, that was awesome. I’d love to be able to see your skis but I know you can’t see everything. I skied Alpental and twice looked over the edge at International and twice said, “Nope.” And hiked back to Edelweiss Bowl, which is so secluded and awesome too.
Upper International to adrenaline to snake 🐍 dance is my favorite at Alpental. ❄️
Would have been nice had he actually done snake dance.
hey man! awesome video! question, is this run similar to alpine at summit central? thanks so much!
I’m just guessing, I think it’s like alpine bowl but just longer! I can’t say for sure, I have only been on alpine.
Nice video! I may attempt this run this season.
I tried it on a not so good day and the break over was straight ice I didn’t have the best time 🤣🤣
It's called Broadway, not Short Cut
The run is called free fall!
Amazing video, terrible conditions though as usual definetly going here next time
I wouldn't advise going into the Alpental BC without the proper equipment or a partner. Especially when you are crossing recent avy paths like the person you were following. Happy to hear they will be checking people like this in the future.
Nice! You have a new subscriber! You should use Promosm!!! I used it to promote my Instagram and it helped my posts start to trend. It could really help you promote your videos too!
Thank you so much for these vids. I've been doing a lot of hiking around Alpental the past couple weeks, and I'm looking forward to skiing this next season. It's great to be able to see your run/lift guides :)
I was there that day we never went into trashcan but the close back especially gunbarrel was skiing great.
What camera did you shoot this with? Stabilization and clarity is great!
GoPro Hero 9, max stabilization mode.
Is international a lot scarier than edelweiss bowl and the fan (right underneath the ski lift)?
International is a bit steeper and icier but not too bad.
@@tanyag2499 can’t be icy right now lol. I’m so tempted to go
@@yileiyilei5616 Yeah I was there yesterday and it was mostly soft spring snow. Upper International was quite crusty though because it's in the shadow of the mountain. Still really fun though. Sucks that Alpental is closed until Friday.
@@tanyag2499 ah interesting. I assumed all spring snow. I’m not too familiar with the consequences of skiing spring snow except that it’s a bit stickier so a bit slower. The only downside I’m aware of of for such a steep hill is that it’s a bit harder to turn. Would you say if there’s anything else? Also thanks for the heads up I was deciding between Thursday and Friday haha
Nice
