4/2/2023 Bear Mountain state park. Hiked up the Appalachian trail to the memorial tower and then took the red dot trail down. Lots and lots of steps!!

Today we took an early morning hike to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Very few people on the trail but we did come across some rather aggressive dogs. Nothing like getting bit by a dog on your birthday…

50 degree weather in February? I’ll take it. Shane and I clocked in just under 8 miles which means Dexter probably has 40. Ramapo Torne via Reeves, Meadow and 7-Hills Loop gave us the opportunity to climb mountains, cross streams, traverse across a ridge line and deal with a few icy rock scrambles. Great day to be outside!!

Cold but beautiful day at Bear mountain!! Little over 6 miles.

We made are way up the Becker Hollow trail to Hunter Mountain! The clear day gave us the ability to see some incredible views! Hope you enjoy the video.
