I remember meeting Johnny on one of his wanderings and having a wonderful chat about people and places long gone and long changed. A great Tempo man who's legacy will increase with the ages. Thanks for posting Paul

This was brilliant for me as my gr grandfather came from around Tempo his name was Owen Breen his mother was HannaCarrol.

This book is the product of caring interest in the remnants of places and techniques that are rapidly disappearing around all of us. Johnny has ferreted out all he could about life in and around his village by interviewing old residents before their legacies died with them. He collected the bits and pieces of essential tools of life as it was only a short time ago and given us a glimpse into the richness of that life. He is an amateur archeologist who has gifted us a treasure in this great book.
