I have had the same issue with BLTouch 3.1 (the 5 pin connector on mainboard). If you only heat the bed and NOT the nozzle before the auto probe got me around this issue. Maybe this thread may help you: github.com/Jyers/Marlin/discussions/192
Did you have to change the pins on a standard BLTouch for the Ender 3 V2? Also what firmware did you use? I see Creality have a BLTouch Firmware on their website, but not currently selling BLTouch for the Ender 3 V2 as of yet
No the v2 board has a dedicated port for the bltouch so it's a simple install. I use the smith3d firmware which works really well, except for this issue. smith3d.com/ender-3-v2-bltouch-firmware-installation-guide-by-smith3d-com/
@@JamesSimpsonUK I followed the instructions of drvax his video. I did replace the connector with a 5 pin JST connector. th-cam.com/video/jO4PAWvWdH8/w-d-xo.html
The bed in that spot is too low. I had this problem and raising the bed in that spot seemed to fix it

On Creality's website there is two firmwares for the 4.2.2 board one with and one without adaptor. Which one do you use?
I'm not using the Creality firmware anymore, nobody does.
Nice Track 😁👍😁 very cool

@@hackwar1 I have just seen a couple of videos where the wires needed switching around on the BLTouch connector.

@@hackwar1 did replacing the connector solve this issue? I'm getting this issue but only sometimes.
@@thegun98 no I stopped using the smith3d firmware and that fixed the issue
