Dear Dr Toseef. It is comforting to hear the CEO of a hospital speaking about empathy and the importance of mental health. I would like to take your time to share our experience and hope this will benefit other patients. My father was admitted at M.P Shah hospital for about one a half months and unfortunately, not one of those days were mentally peaceful for us. This comment is not intended to undermine the hospital but just a true representation of our experience. My dad had an Aortic Abdominal Aneurysm (AAA). A very serious condition where very few people make it out alive. He battled hard for weeks (2 weeks in the ICU where he almost lost his life multiple times, several days in the HDU and many days in the private room). It was mentally torturous for the family and I can not even fathom the mental and physical torture my dad went through but there was no form of counselling or therapy from the hospital for any of us. My father was in the ICU where patients who had passed away were being wheeled out while the curtains of other patients was left open. The staff didn't consider what trauma this would be for a patient sharing the same space as another who they know has lost his/her life fighting similar battles. We as the family were called in several times when our dear dad was critical, unable to breathe only to find doctors and nurses laughing in the ICU and HDU. You could imagine the pain of almost losing a loved one while others laugh and express no empathy. There are also other similar situations like this we experienced but that is beside the point. One thing I realised when spending almost 2 months at the hospital was that everyone talks about empathy but very few practice it. Eventually my dear father passed away and even though I know that this post would not benefit him, I want others who are in a similar position to benefit because I know the trauma they are going through. I am aware that hospital staff need to be very neutral and show little emotion because of their profession but some kind words would go a long way in keeping the patient and his/her family sane during that period. I hope you will take this comment in good faith because the end goal is to make it mentally comfortable for those in hospital because we know they are already suffering physically. We are all going to leave this earth one day and what matters most in the end is how we treated one another. God bless and I hope there will be change through your leadership.

Liking this video when it turn 7:10
Felt weird being a girl watching this but I shared this with some of my guy friends, I really like what yall are doing, as someone who's experienced trauma, experienced being in rehab a couple of times, and been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder after finally going to a wealthness center which was Chiromo hospital group! I know Kenya is really suffering with addicts and people going through minor mental health issues like ADHD and Anxiety and not getting the right treatment for this and ending up entangled in the world of drinking in Nairobi!....... Trying to balance a perfect image and suffering behind closed doors. I've lost friends to suicide for not getting proper help! and I hope enough people take it in themselves to watch your videos and see that they are not alone. Especially the men cause they dont know where to go! Thanx for this type of podcast.
Thank you so much for sharing your story! It’s the little steps that matter! Keep going strong! Thanks for watching and sharing. we really do hope more men find the answers they need from this
Such a great episode!! Thank you for sharing your journey with the world fareed.
@@aliyakassam-dawoodani6736 thank you 🙏🏻
So true, I've been feeling that for one of my own - what next after years of being in and out of rehab? Glad you guys have had such a candid talk on the non-wholistic view of the current rehab system and the fact that cost has been an issue.
Another thing on the impact we have on other's journeys even through our addictions... 💯❤🔥
The more we can inform, the better right? Thank you so much for watching

Rajvir, I beg to differ to your understanding of both masculine and feminine. Yes as per society a man is supposed to be the provider and the woman the nurturer. But have you ever thought about how a woman who is taking care of the family, making sure all their wants n needs are provided for and all she thinks about is looking after her family is told that this is my house and you should be grateful that you’re living here. This is where the topic of a woman being independent comes up because she has to be capable enough of not depending on any man and god forbid if something were to happen then at least she knows she is capable of looking after her self
From Rajvir - and I very much agree with you. I have thought about that, and that’s why I say a lot of men out there need to be taught from the start how to treat their women with compassion and love. My point is to encourage masculinity in men, but to instill them with the knowledge to treat women better so they can rest in their feminine energy and not have to face bullshit like “oh this is my house.”
Absolutely loved this episode of the Men's Forum! The conversations are real, relatable, and so important for people today. It's refreshing to see these topics being addressed with such honesty and depth. Keep up the incredible work - this podcast is making a difference! Looking forward to the next episode!

How can I download this because it has no download option
Not entirely sure. That’s strange
Also maybe stop watching Andrew Tate? feminism isnt about "stopping women being abused". Its about being treated equitable and equal to a man, in terms of pay, treatment or whatever it may be. cant believe its 2024 and people are still confused about what the f it is women want. A relationship isnt a co-dependency, then it puts one person in a position of power.
Lol what are these views about women being too "masculine" and not wanting to work, or being able to "take shit" like a tough boss. Think you need to read up on what feminism is actually about. No one doubts women are more nurturing, and that somethings genetically each gender does better. No one has fought that. Its about equity and equality. You sound misogynistic AF and are reducing women to care givers that cater to your needs.
That's a stupid fucking anaolgy. It's very stupid to even clip that.
They'll go away
