RPA Family-Friendly Gaming
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 14 มิ.ย. 2020
We aim to create RPG- & gaming-videos all about families, kids, & teens, playing games with each other. We want to see more family-friendly content out there, & we figure that sometimes, to get what you want, you just have to make it yourself! Likewise, our content is family-produced. The kids help write, act, direct, film & edit the content.

Two years later and it’s still amazing to see this. I loved being in this so much.
Good times! Glad you enjoyed it. I wish I were in a position to reliably do more stuff like this!
Amazing!
didn't see that coming, nice twist :)
This must have been fun to film.
You looked like you were having fun most of the time, and Klara could hardly stop laughing, and I enjoyed it, so I'd say 'yes.'
@@rpafamily-friendlygaming3393 Yeah, I couldn't stop laughing, it was to funny!
👏
This is probably your best directed video.
Thanks. We spent a LOT of time on lighting and setting (only for me to die in record time). I hadn't done more than very basic lighting since college, so it was a lot of work. It should get easier though. The sound on this one needs some love. Lots to learn to do this well! We shot a sequel right after. I'm hoping to get Will to start editing it here shortly now that he is out of school. James and I did all the camera work and everything else on this one ourselves. I'm excited to see what we can do with your help and a generally bigger 'staff'. BTW, I'm meeting with my new editing intern tomorrow. He'll most likely be the one editing the Investigative Report footage. Not sure how quickly he'll take to it, but we'd love to have you back in the studio once he gets the draft assembled.
I love Amazing Tales! Between No Thank You Evil, Tales of Equestria, and this, i have run Amazing Tales the most for my oldest daughter. And it also has changed the way i run other rpgs :-)
It has changed my game too. Playing with a kid let me be free in ways that playing with adults didn't, and I've been able to move that flexibility/spontaneity into my other games. I've also been slowly shifting to a more narrative style. I've never played No Thank you Evil or Tales of Equestria, but have been tempted. Too many games and not enough time! Have you seen Amazing Heroes yet? It is Amazing Tales in a 'Supers' setting with some rules tweaked for an older audience (eg. consequences, character development, themes more appropriate to a pre-teen/young teen audience). I'm hoping to try it out with my 12 y.o. but have been tied up on other projects since I got the book!
@@rpafamily-friendlygaming3393 "Too many games and not enough time!" You sure have that right! lol Yes, I have Amazing Heroes, but the funny thing is I am running it for my wife and two other adults currently (our setting is in Oklahoma, but the theme is like The Tick... lots of jokes about Oklahoma, and stereotypes of what their supers would be like. lol). I love this system so far!
“Stuffy adult” ya right :)
Stuffy is relative. Could always be stuffier! ;^)
Yes! Stories can save us.
The more I learn about them, the more I believe it! Have you ever tried recording yourself telling a story? It's an interesting experience. I think you have a better voice for it than I do. I'd love to hear it in action again. I think the last time I heard you read aloud was camping at Scout Mountain.
hey its anna johns daughter
Hey Anna! Thanks for stopping by. Thanks for letting us steal all your dad's light and tripods and stuff. If you ever want to steal them back, or want to use the studio for your own work, just let us know!
