    hi i started playing tetris 1 day ago , i tried doing the 6-3 pattern and used it against other people , the I piece takes too long to come and by the time it comes either my pattern got messed up or i already lost , i got consistent doing it in 40 lines mode

    • @TetrisGuide
      @TetrisGuide 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, I wouldn't recommend using 6-3 stacking against other players, especially if you've just started playing. 6-3 is the most efficient stacking pattern when playing sprint, but there are a lot of other factors to consider when choosing a strategy playing against other players. First, learning an opener can be very useful as it gives you a lot of quick attack to start off but be careful about becoming too reliant on it. In the midgame, there are more advanced stacking patterns like LST or fractals which allow you to create T-spins which are the most effective and efficient method of attack. Don't worry if you don't understand all of this, just start slow and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

    • @TetrisGuide
      @TetrisGuide 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! 9-0 is definitely the easiest stacking pattern for beginners and you should just be prioritizing trying to familiarize yourself with the controls and the characteristics of each piece (color, how they spin, etc.) as this will definitely help you no matter which level you're at

      @@twachl8039 I'll work on the video. In general as a beginner, I would recommend starting with 9-0 because it's much easier to grasp and you can practice your stacking basics. I have one question. For how long do I have to keep up that opening pattern that you showed?

    • @TetrisGuide
      @TetrisGuide ปีที่แล้ว

      The opening pattern is just a suggested way to place the first two bags. It uses the common patterns for 6-3 stacking but it's impossible to maintain the whole time. In general, stacking 6-3 quickly without mistakes requires good knowledge of the different box patterns and how to stack the 6 side. You can use the opening pattern for reference but don't rely on it the entire time.

    it's not that bad yeah and people have to actually know how to downstack lol (mostly x rank) all the combo stackings are not that bad. those will turn into power stacking in someday which is really useful for the most of time

    • @TetrisGuide
      @TetrisGuide ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say 2 wide is not really a good strategy to go for proactively as there are just better alternatives, even when consider combo stacking. It is useful to know how to 2 wide as the situation may present itself where knowing how to downstack properly will be useful. While it can send a lot of lines at max potential I just feel it's not as good compared to alternative offensive options.

      I never thought it would exist either, but I wanted to provide some commentary to help players better understand what's happening and improve their own game. It's sort of like the commentary you find on Tetr.io Cup except more focused on the play by play and trying to give a general idea of what's happening, geared more towards an audience who may not be completely familiar with modern Tetris gameplay.

    I don't know if this is my bias, but when playing Tetra League in tetrio, I've faced a lot of player that play this opening. Do you know why it is quite popular there? My rank is around 1850-1950 if that helps, I just play casually.

    • @TetrisGuide
      @TetrisGuide ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! In my opinion, SDPC is one of the best openers in the game since it's relatively easy to learn, very versatile, sends a good amount of lines, and can easily transition into midgame. Compared to openers such as TKI, it doesn't require too much free stacking knowledge or skill. Commenting more about its versatility, there are many variations which can be used in different situations. For example, if you're already sent lines due to the opponent using an opener such as TKI, you can transition into the stickspin variant which is basically just a better version of the stickspin. The stickspin variant transitions well into 6-3 stacking and it can also open up opportunities for a combo. I also see a lot of SDPC in the game, but I think it's normal because it's just a really good opener. Hope this helped to answer your question!
