I just got a bunch! People leave junk that that they want next to the utility elavator in my building and building employees collect it and throw it away. This is for larger items like furniture etc, not the regular trash. In any case I was headed down to the lobby to pick up a package and I noticed two boxes filled with DVDs. I went to get my package and when I came back up I took them. After sifting through them I now have a binch of Disney DVDs and blu rays. Plenty of classic titles and some are still sealed! I know they arent worth much but they are worth holding on to!

Yesssss physical media!!!!

I've ordered five copies from Amazon because of damage. All five had damage to the slipcover with pieces being broken off. I settled on two with minor damage. One of the steelbooks didn't close, so I was forced to return that one. The second one only closes very loosely. So I wouldn't be too upset about the "flaws" on your movie. Seems to be a quality control issue. I'm off to return 4 of my 5 copies lol.

Physical media is forever, digital media is temporary.

I think streaming, spotify, and online gaming are the main contributors to the slow death of physical media. People still buy physical media like manga and comic books but when it comes to video games and movies nobody is buying those in stores anymore.

I personally would only consider buying physical media if it's something I already like. I can't speak much for movies, since I don't watch a lot of those, but I played Alan Wake 2 a while back and fell in love with it. I bought their collector's edition the same day it was announced despite "owning" a digital copy on the Epic Games launcher. I'm curious. Do you buy a physical copy for every movie you watch or do you also use any streaming services?

Is 4k Blu-Ray actually the best option if you’re just in it for a casual watch every once in a while? At target the 4kUHD BOSAS is $30, with a 4kUHD and standard blu ray, while the regular Blu-Ray + DVD is $20.
