I had this problem for a couple years ago, the LCD was fine on it's original position but the moment I moved the screen, the image got corrupted (back to normal when off/on the camera) but I didn't fix it until now. Got the cable for 11€ and fixed it following this video. Now it's perfectly working! Thanks for making a video so detailed and clean about this very specific problem! Greetings from Spain :D

LCD Flex cable change would fix it! I had the same problem when accidently my camera was drop to the floor.

The problem of this error its a bad connection with the lens you can clean the contacts or make sure you put well the lens or try other lens it happened to me with my canon 6d and its fixed

Can you describe more? The LCD screen on my D7500 has a yellow tint. Did you fix your problem by flexing the cable? Do you have to open the camera body to remove the hinge part?

Very nice video, thank you so much! I was able to change the flex cable by myself. Nikon checked my camera and said, that the screen was comepletely broken when I sent it in (background lights were working but it was only black). I asked if it is not the flex cable maybe and they said no, it was checked and is okay and I need to pay 350€ for the repair of the full screen. I did not believe them and they send me the camera back and charged me 40€ for the "check". They are liars and think all people are stupid and milk their money. I ordered a Flexcable from Aliexpress for 20€ and changed the cable by myself and it is working again!! Damn Nikon liars, cheaters: Nikon Service Point Dresden, Germany. I filed a complaint and hopefully get my costs for the "checkup" back because obviously they just turned on the camera one time and didnt even touch the cable or anything else, it was still glued to the back of the screen in original shape. Don't trust some of these "techs". Thank you sir!!! Hindustan Zindabad!
