Thanks for your comments. In my opinion, F2L should be faster since it is solving 2 layers at a time. However, it may take some time to getting used to seeing the 2 remaining white edge pieces moving around the cube since we are not creating the white cross at the bottom. 😀

Both the Apple and Orange puzzle cubes are 3x3 mod. Therefore, you should be able to solve them using the same way. However, for the Orange, the top and bottom pieces are only 3 sided. Therefore, the center pieces should be other pieces. My guess is the square pieces located at the sides. I have not tried the Orange before but hope this helps. Good luck in solving your Orange puzzle. 😀👍

In my opinion, using F2L may not be the best way to create the blocks. There is one TH-cam tutorial by Kian Mansour “Roux BlockBuilding Basic: Transition from beginner to intermediate” which may be helpful is you want to check other Roux block building method. Hope this helps, cheers!

One common problem is cuber forgets to solve the top green and blue edge pieces (step 5) and start solving step 6. Hence, if you have completed the step 5, you should only see orange, red, white and yellow in your M slice layer. Then by repeating U2 M moves, you will either get one of the 3 patterns or the cube is solved. Hope this help.

By applying R' D' R D repeatedly in step 7 should fix all the top corner pieces. Remember to only rotate the top layer when you solve the next corner. The bottom may look messed up when applying the algorithm but they will be fixed once all the top corner pieces are fixed. Hope this helps and all the best in solving your Fisher cube. 😀

Good for you that you are getting matched corners every time. To swap the corners pieces, you can try to use the same algorithm with all the matched corners and see what comes out of it. 😀

This is interesting... For 0 matching, you can solve using the given algorithm whereas for 2 matching 🤔 I have not seen that before. I thought maybe you want to try applying a 3x3 PLL adjacent or diagonal corner swaps. You should be able to find the algorithms from the Internet. However, I'm really not sure if this would work.
