As mentioned in Sri Durga Kavach: नासिकायां सुगन्‍धा च उत्तरोष्ठे च चर्चिका। अधरे चामृतकला जिह्वायां च सरस्वती॥ 24॥ Devi Sugandha takes care of the nose, and Charchika Devi gives shield to the upper lips(because Charcha is through upper lips) .Devi Amrutkala guards lower lips and the tongue is protected by Devi Saraswati. गुल्फयोर्नारसिंही च पादपृष्ठे तु तैजसी। पादाङ्गुलीषु श्रीरक्षेत्पादाध:स्तलवासिनी॥32॥ Tejasi Devi safeguards the back portion of both feet. Shridevi protects the toes of the feet, and Devi Talvasini stays in the soles of the feet to provide protection. नखान् दंष्ट्रा कराली च केशांशचैवोर्ध्वकेशिनी। रोमकूपेषु कौबेरी त्वचं वागीश्वरी तथा॥33॥ Devi Dranstrakarali protects the nails, and the upward-moving Devi (ऊर्ध्व)protects the hair. In hindi see the spelling of hair its “baal” and in hindi shakti is called बल,so the spelling is almost same that is बल is in Baal!Your shakti is in your hair. Issues like Depression ,menopause are because of hair-cut so that is why earlier it was told that we should not cut our hair as that also creates imbalance. Think about your body functions, though rigorous exercise at the gym, the bladder remains sealed, preventing urine from automatically releasing. Beauty resides in brain and behavior. Your behavior and actions makes a difference. Personality is also very important but should be a pleasing one. Pleasing personality means a smile on your face, eyes should be sparkling, you should be happy from inside. Personality becomes your first impression so you definitely need to have strong personality but Your मन should be beautiful and शुद्ध.Be pure from within, and it will naturally reflect on your face. Focusing on दिखावा and outer beauty without having inner purity doesn't suffice. For Instance once you put on make-up for any function like wedding, but once that is over you will remove your make-up, your face remains same. Refer 1st Adhya,22nd Shlok of Srimad Bhagwat Geeta: यावदेतान्निरिकीक्षेऽहं योद्धुकमानवस्थितान् | कैर्मया सह योद्धव्यमस्मिन् रणसमुद्यमे || २२|| Here Arjun addresses the Lord as Achyuta earlier and said please take my chariot to the middle of both armies, so that I may look at the warriors gathered for battle, whom I must fight. Here he is focusing on “देह” that is the outer presence. So here is looking through चर्म चक्षु. But later on in 23rd Shlok योत्स्यमानानवेक्षेऽहं य एतेऽत्र समागता: | धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दुर्बुद्धेर्युद्धे प्रियचिकीर्षव: || 23|| Here Arjun desires to see those who have come here to fight on the side of the evil-buddhi son of Dhritarasthra ie Duryodhan, trying to make him happy. Here is looking through his बुद्धी चक्षु or मन चक्षु. So comparing two shlokas first he focusses on deh and then looks through बुद्धी चक्षु. Even in lokik world this applies, if you just look good but your behavior and actions are not good no one will like you. Also its amazing that though our technology is so advanced but can any one prepare skin ?any nerves? generate blood? No Right! Only परमात्मा can do so give importance to परमात्मा . So both your inner and outer personality are important. But instead of involving your time in un-necessary things, invest your time in chanting. Being kicked out of my parent’s house at 16 destroyed my life. I was a virgin. I did not have a boyfriend. I did not drink or habitually use drugs other than smoking pot maybe three or four times, but that is all. So, why? Well, I’ll try and answer this honestly. My parents lied to the counsellors who manned the teen home where I was being held promising that we would enter family therapy if I came home. When I stepped off the plane, they announced that they were signing my care over to the state and I was kicked to the curb. I have never recovered from that betrayal. I am 62 years old and I still have never had even a moment when I felt loved. Not ever. All of that said, I want to warn against the shared journaling though. I did that. They used my emotions and honesty against me. It left me even more exposed and ripped apart.
