Rather than losing structure in your back maybe try staying in a pushup/plank position at the bottom of the movement. Will work your core a lot more and strengthen your back

this exercise doesn’t train your back at all it’s a bullshit stability exercise that isometrically hits your core and glutes and that’s only with good form unlike most people who do these types of exercises
That’s one of the worst exercises you can do 🙌
