Lucky to be in Jeju for a Jeju onggi festival, ‘제주 옹기 굴제’, that included a wood firing in a 12 meter long traditional Jeju stone kiln. I went to watch the end of the 4 day firing. It was a real pleasure to be able to participate and help out in the building of a wood fired kiln in Jeju Island, South Korea. The Onggi master Hyangjong Oh is seen here helping out with the build.
