kinda mad my band didint stay for the victory run but also glad we did leave...it was freezing (fun fact, during the performances one of the band members drooped somthing under the bleachers and another band member climbed down under the bleachers and got it lmao)
Yooo what band are you from?? And yeah, I literally wasn’t even aware we were doing another run until about 5 minutes beforehand so that was quite the rude awakening in the freezing cold haha

Heyoo!! I’m a saxophonist from Trinity, got to see you guys at championships!! Any tips for soprano? Trying to learn, currently very bad. (You guys did awesome btw)
Yo, thank you so much!! And that’s awesome that you’re learning soprano! It’s pretty much inevitable to sound bad when starting soprano, I was on the same boat. The main problem I had was trying to get my tone to not sound like a duck, so after experimenting with different reeds and taking care of them all, I was able to manage it pretty well. The mouthpiece that came with the school’s soprano was also a really nice one, so that probably has a lot to do with how I ended up sounding. In terms of everything else, I just noticed that I had to use more air on the top and bottom ends of the horn to get every note to speak. Other than that, just keep practicing and practicing and you’ll definitely get used to playing it-it’s an acquired taste. Let me know if this helps or if you need any other info!! :)
