FINAL MATERNAL FETAL MEDICINE APPOINTMENT + CERCLAGE UPDATE 32 WEEKS PREGNANT | VLOGMAS
Hey guys! Today was my last Maternal Fetal Medicine Appointment for my cerclage. I had my cerclage placed at 17 weeks and 2 days due to my cervix shorten early on in my pregnancy. This cervical stitch saved my pregnancy and baby!
INFORMATION ON CERVICAL CERCLAGE
Cervical cerclage is a medical procedure in which your doctor places a single stitch around your cervix, the opening to your uterus. The stitch sews your cervix closed.
Doctors perform cerclage to prevent late (second trimester) miscarriages and preterm (early) delivery. Women may be at risk for these complications because of cervical incompetence (when your cervix opens too soon during pregnancy).
Your doctor will perform cervical cerclage, also called cervical stitch, in a hospital. The procedure usually takes less than one hour. Many women return home the same day.
Who is a candidate for cervical cerclage?
Women at higher risk of cervical incompetence (when your cervix begins to open before pregnancy is full-term) may have cerclage between the 12th and 14th weeks of pregnancy. Your doctor may insert a stitch up to the 24th week of your pregnancy if your cervix begins to either shorten or open early. Doctors remove the suture as the full-term due date approaches or if other indications arise.

Hi are you allowed to go walk or prepare meal or leave children to school after cerclage how do you manage school and meal?
Hello I wasn’t allowed to walk long distances, and only walked towards the end of my pregnancy when I knew baby would be ok. I took my kids to school every morning and picked them up. As far as meal I meal prepped, my crock pot was my favorite. Also my husband helped a lot with literally everything.🖤

I’ve been filling your videos I was pregnant with twin boys and lost them both at 20weeks to IC which I never heard of until then! I’m currently trying again for my rainbow🌈baby and I’m scared to death to go threw that again .

They actually take it all where we were living. I believe if you’re living in older housing they give back a portion. Don’t know if that’s still true though.
