Reasons I can’t sleep I can’t sleep because there is something in the ceiling… I can hear everything in the house, and it’s all I can think about. I have an irrational fear my boyfriend will stop breathing in his sleep. The quiet is too loud. I’ve been laying in bed awake with my eyes closed for so long I become hungry and will be unable to sleep because of it. I take a melatonin, I sleep for one hour wake up. Can’t get back to sleep, I take another sleep for a hour. Wake up don’t want to take more because it will give me hiccups the next day. I hear a clock in the room. There is no clock in here. The wall has started to make scratching noise. I think it’s mice…
Why can't I find any info on HOW it cools? Does it actually cool or just push air at various speeds? If it does cool the air then HOW is it doing it with no condenser? How do you clean it?
Hello, I purchased my perfectly snug nearly 2 years ago and I love it. It just cools by blowing air. It is not cold when you get into bed but as you lay down , instead if the bed heating up you can feel it cooling you down. I rarely wake up from being too hot but if I do the button on the side gives you a burst and I think it lasts 15 minutes, but I have always fallen back to sleep before that. I hope that helps you.

I have had mine for 3 months and I love it. I first thought it would feel chilly when I first went to bed. Instead it feels normal but instead of feeling my mattress heat up I feel cooling occurring. No more hot wake-up’s for me.
iS THERE ANY NOISE?
The Smart Topper is pretty quiet, almost silent most of the time. When the cooling is a maximum effort, the sound is a bit like a laptop fan. Certainly no louder than a fan in the room. In my house it makes about the same sound as the forced air heating.
Wouldn’t stuff like hair or just particulate eventually build up and how would you clean and maintain the topper? As particulate builds up wouldn’t that clog the topper?
Hi Jay, The Smart Topper cover can be removed and machine or hand washed. Also, the Topper operates with a fitted sheet over it, and the fitted sheet acts as a filter against particulate.
