I started speedrunning Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals a couple of weeks ago and landed my first 2 Turn Jelly Kill. Normally you need all 3 turns to defeat him unless you perform multiple runs through the Ancient Cave and level up your characters to full and having a fully updated Capsule Monster. LOL unoptimized speedruns at their greatest. That Dash Attack hitbox isn't quite as good as Don's going to see if we can use Mona's Charge attack in that situation
Mona S tier?
It sure looks like it so far! She doesn't get as much meter gain as some of the other S Tier Chars (Raph, Leo, April), but when we figure out the best placements for her standing super she'll def get into those mid-low 50 times.

Mondo's wall jump and air dodge are what made me realise the "speed" stat might not be for mobility after all lol

Infinite Pizza power on that boss is insane! Idk why i never thought of that. I hope they give us a button for the Flame Toss team attack. Radical Mode with that activated is really good.

It's great tactic for avoiding getting hit, so for some boss fights it could be useful. I need to do some more science, but if I find anything I'll def post it - I have a couple ideas :)
Do air supers do the most damage?
In your opinion, which of the two new characters is better/more fun to play as? I only played a few levels of each but so far I really enjoy Mona better
Mona is probably A tier or high B Tier appearing almost as strong as April. Mondo is probably C or D tier but still fun to play. Mona has a pretty standard moveset besides her dodge attack and up throw which may have some utility while Mondo feels like more fresh even if he's a weaker character. I've been having fun playing both of them, but I think Mondo is gonna be more fun the longer I tinker with him

Absolutely, I think his air control is even better than usagi and with how much movement/burst damage he has his levels have the potential to be pretty quick

Is Raph like the objective best turtle to use or is it a preference thing? Awesome video tho. I got the cowabunga collection a while back and just forgot this game was on it even though ive wanted to play ir fir decades lol. I always had a SNES.
Yes! Raphael's basic walk speed is a little faster than the other turtles and his moves generally do way more damage (His Flip Tackle is the only move in the game that does 20 damage, enough to one shot foot clan members) imgur.com/a/JDdiP it's actually the same damage values for TMNT IV and TMNT The Hyperstone Heist. I've speedran Hyperstone with all of the different turtles and overall Raphael clocks out to be 3 minutes faster on average than the other turtles

Hey there, White Foot Clan with Tonfas can be taken out with any Special/Dash attack. The Slide attack is performed by clicking Run then Jump then Attack Buttons in sequence.
I’d say for speed running purposes this vid is great, but I truly believe Don is the best character in co op (99%of players are not trying to speedrun all the time.) Even if I’m not playing sweaty, I ALWAYS lead the team in kills when using him. His neutral super is just too good to not spam as much as possible, and his range is amazing, making it so that you can kill multiple enemies with his standard combo at once, even if they are positioned behind each other

54:00, dafuq didn't know you could save that powerup and it would glitch into the boss fight
This feature was patched in just a little bit before Dimension Shellshock was released

Thank you for the kind words :) I've been playing beat em' ups competitively for a few years now running TMNT IV, Knights of the Round, and others which require constant double tap forward/back to dash. At the time of this video I was playing on a XBOX 360 arcade stick, but recently moved onto a Hitbox Control which has been a great improvement as far as dash consistency.
this is on pc? I love this game but don't know how to play it other then on the ones
Hello there! This was played on a modded SNES Jr. using an FXPAK PRO everdrive :) If you are only interested in the Ancient Cave rather than story mode there is a save file you can get on Speedruns.com to place on the everdrive and get started right away.

Man,what you say that’s glitch,actually is something that was incorporated by/in TurboGrafx games and Gradius based games,I played this game 16 years ago and still have memories about it Astro Warrior has checkpoints based in where you die,each of these bases existing in the game where you walk through will determine if you'll start further or from the start What happens is that you may have found that after passing each 3rd base in the trio of stages based in your usual gameplay,the game will determine as if you die,the "void gate" checkpoint(boss encounter),doing this warp you gotten to know Besides,I finally understood about Nebiros shooting,I used to think it's random cannons instead of inside out order and dying a lot,leaving only to count 1,2,3,4 and passing through laser gaps
Yeah, I think the term I aught to have used was 'death warp', I think I was referring specifically to the helper glitch which you get helpers back after death. Apparently this occurs after pressing 1/2 buttons one after the other very quickly on death/next level. I'll come back to this one day for WR Thanks for watching!
