Endless Engines Challenge - Indy didn't make it - Breakdown
มุมมอง 32Kปีที่แล้ว
#3danimation #3drender #pwnisher This is the first time i participate in a 3D-render challenge. The process was quite challenging but also a lot of fun and i learned many new techniques. So, time well spent. "Indy didn't make it" is the title and accordingly, there is an easter egg somewhere. ;) Song: www.premiumbeat.com/de/royalty-free-tracks/captured-moment
What processor and graphics card did you use?
amd ryzen and nvidia 4090
front faces created with mj. good use of ai.
Nice art style!! Well done!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice Work!!!
Diabolical
Awesome breakdown bro!!!
@@konoboi thanks bro
what are your specs? I wonder how this many simulations worked so well. Blender can't take this kind of simulations I guess
@@NarekManukyan i’m working with cinema 4d. they recently updated the simulation tools like cloth. they are pretty amazing and don’t require too crazy specs.
@@FredericAndresArt thanks for the answer. also please share your pc specs. I think I will switch to cinema 4d for this kind of complex simulations.
@@NarekManukyan amd ryzen 7950, nvidia 4090, 64 gigs ram
Pure Art !
nice job,When will the tutorial be released?
Very, very, very cool!
ALL done in C4D, this is insane
most of the textures are done in substance painter ;)
This is amazing ! I love the idea <3
Absolutely incredible
Remember seeing this and getting blown away by the sheer details! Awesome work 👏👏👏
This is incredible! Wow. Thanks for the breakdown. Really inspiring!
thanks and you are welcome
This was my favourite! <3 Absolutely disgusting how good it is :P
thank you :)
One of my favourites! thanks for the breakdown, amazing use of soft body sims.
Great concept and execution. The only thing wrong with it is that it's too short -- I would love to have seen more. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome job, this is my favourite!
Beautiful!! I've always wondered, how do you UV map something like this? I see you cut them up into many different parts, but doesn't that mess up the direction of the texture and such unless done perfectly? Or did you just paint over them?
Good question. I tried to uv unwrap the blobby elements by hand but i didn't get a proper result. luckiely, substance painter has a pretty great automatic uv unwrapper which seems to be especially good for organic shapes. then in such a case its always a good idea to use a triplanar projection.
you can have a relatively sloppy uv map in substance painter and with the triplanar projection get a clean result. that is some of the magic of SP.
@@FredericAndresArt Huh, interesting! I’ve never tried bc it seemed so daunting and easy to fuck up, but maybe I should try it out! It’s cool hearing about your process, thanks man:)
LOVE your work!!! This is brilliantly done!! Would love to see you do some tutorials on your process. Keep them coming!
thank you, yeah maybe one day i’ll start making tutorials. i still have other priorities but i often have that (bad?) feeling of having a duity to share my knowledge cause i learned almost everything on youtube. :)
@@FredericAndresArt but you use that knowledge in a way that is creative and unique...and would be awesome to see/learn from!
Yeah this is my fav 100%
Finally, I found who made this one! Edit: just saw the full bts... nahhh this stuff was genius!
haha. i’m happy to have impressed you. i’m a big fan of your endless engines animation! thanks a lot for the compliment!
this was in my opinion the best one
Seriously top 3 for me... I love when people are able to bring imagination and organic-ness to this level in 3D software. Your submission and art is inspiring!
thank you. nice to hear :)
Oooooh how deliciously done, and cleverly done at that!
Really liked the look and feel of this render. As a fellow challenger really happy that you made it in top 100
Beautiful work, and thanks for the breakdown, very insightful 👌
Just saw this in top 100 5 minutes ago
I was very impressed when I saw this, also very different from other entries. I think my personal favorite!
thanks a lot. nice to hear. :)
mine too
I was really curious about how you implemented organic motion. Great Work!
This ones amazing ❤
Beautiful render, the idea is super original and the execution top notch. 5 ⭐️
Awesome job, my personal No.1:)
Magnificent work. I love the organic feel
thank you. i like your work too.
Oooooooooooft that Alien moving around in there is nuts, super smart use of softbodies!
thank you
Great work.............
How do you stack multiple soft body simulations like that, while having them all talk to each other and not brick c4d? Im having issues lol
what version of c4d do you have?
2024! Current build. Nothing old using gpu based simulation etc. Its my 3nd time so maybe Im just fucking it up lol@@FredericAndresArt
That's so cool, GJ man!!❤
Thank you Frederic! Great process!
Incredible job!!! My top 5 list
Didn't realize this one was yours! one of my faves
thank you nelson
Love that the sac is made of people and animals. Makes things dark!
thank you man. originally i wanted the humans and animals to be more visible but it was a bit to complicated.
Looks amazing dude!! Should've won imo. Great insight with the berakdown!
thanks man. i’m totally fine with top100. :) i would have so much difficulties to choose 5 winners.
Incredible work. How did you download that version of topaz studio?
hey man, I got a question. I'm trying to use topaz studio for the similar effect, but I dont understand how to edit videos with it. How did you do it? You edited every frame seperatly, or somehow loaded the full sequence in? Great work tho!!!
Hi. Haha, yes i actually edited all 120 frames individually. A bit crazy, i know. Definitely not a method for very long projects. Unfortunately there is no batch function.
@@FredericAndresArt that's insane. really unfortunate that they didn't add the sequence function, but i guess i'll have to edit them all seperatly too)))
What movie is this
Amazing idea and execution! Love it!
Amazing work🤟🤟🤟
Deserved a spot in the Top5 IMHO. Great idea and execution.
Thats nice, thank you. I'm fine with top 100. :)
