Hi, just here to plop in some new context Just today the actual proper translation for the Typhlosion story was done by actual people and not an AI Machine and the results were very different to what everyone was raving about beforehand Typhlosion did NOT kidnap and assault a small child Turns out he was using illusion yokai magic to disguise himself as a hermit and just bummed around in the middle of nowhere for a bit until coming across a girl of ambiguous age but somewhere ranging from 16-20 who was stuck in some heavy snowfall. Typhlosion took the girl back home and took care of her and the two fell in love. The usage of the term marriage is synonymous with linking of souls in Japan myths and that’s what happened, the girl was now linked to Typhlosion and as myths go, once you contact yokai you basically lose all inhibition to go back home to your old life (like in the movie Spirited Away.) Later the girl gave birth to a child which was half human half Typhlosion. The “how” part of the creation process is not written. Story is still weird, definitely, but is it significantly more tame than the AI said it was. As I’m writing this the other stories are also being properly translated.

I experience the ego death few days ago and it’s the most terrifying and most scary moment any human could face in his entire life !
