Amazing video just wish I had this knowledge when I was younger. Flying is a dream but was always unreachable. Turn 44 this month and only chance now will be to work my back side off and save. Well done for all your hard work you deserve it.
Absolutely amazing video! Just noticed you flew out of Solent airport. Had my discovery flight out of there and the CFI was incredible. Really looking forward to one day learning to fly, just been saving for a while now. It's people like you who are opening up the world of aviation to others, the same as you have been given. Please keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching! Best of luck with your aviation journey 🛫
Really enjoyed your video George. Yes, can confirm that French pilots would say vingt-huit for runway 28. BTW I'm an expat and a PP living in France. Local aerodrome LFLG Grenoble Le Versoud. If you're ever down this way there's great flying around Mt. Blanc or even Alpe d'Huez / Courchevel (no go around procedures here) but you'd need a mountain qualification to land there!! Happy Landings!!
@@georgesinclair9551 Thanks for watching! It’s certainly on my ‘to-do’ list - looks like a beautiful part of the world 🛩️
Hi George, hope you are keeping well. Just an update I’m campaigning for the CAA to relax their policy on ADHD medication and my MP is now involved. Their argument is that it causes fatigue but due to Noah’s Autism he doesn’t feel that plus he’s also clocked 3.5 hours now taking off, communicating with air traffic and landing safely. One was quite rough with a 12 knot cross wind. I would love to get some people on board with this if you or you might know anyone that would?
@@daviddoyle2085 Hi David! Great to hear all is going well, pop me an email george@coepilot.uk and I’ll have a think
@@Coepilot thanks George massively appreciate this.
Great video George, very educational as usual. That was an interesting arrival at EGHF- far busier than anything I have encountered. Haven’t seen you around at Lee for a while. Regards Colin.
Hi Colin, thanks for watching! Certainly a very busy day. I’m teaching with Euro Flight Training (at the other end of the airfield) now, so that’s probably why. I’m still around quite a bit though, hope you’ve managed to get some flying in recently? See you soon, George
Good day to you George. I am just going to comment something but i don't the reasons for it. But your weight and balance could be out of the centre of gravity. The gentlemen that is seating at the back in my opinion should be next to you, for better weight and balance
Hi Joao, I completed a full M&B calculation before the flight - which was all well within limits - we had some baggage in the nose which helped ensure CofG was centralised as much as possible. Thanks for watching!
@@Coepilot 🙄😂 you absolute maverick doing mass and balance calcs! Have to love comments like that!
Nice IFR flight Garmin GTN 750 is top for planing descent :))
Thank you Sir! Indeed it is - great bit of kit!
I thought microlites were flex wing hangliders with engines etc.
Some micro lights are - these are classed as 3-axis micro lights.
Awwsome
Thanks so much for your AWESOME video awesome advice about flying I wasnt aware of. I have given up flying before I started because I thought I can never afford it but you have shone a bright light onto certain information I was unaware of that has rekindled my passion for my dream of learning to fly.thank you
Great to hear, don’t give up and you’ll get there! 💪🙏✈️
Love this George, we need to get more people finding your fantastic vlogs. Thanks mate. We need to get together soon.
@@ShortField Cheers Terry! Yes, would love to catch up soon 😃
Nicely edited & very useful 👍🏼 Great work
Thank you!
Nice watch, beautiful views, very impressive George.
@@gavinveness Thanks Gavin! Hope you’re well?
Cute and cool
Really enjoyed that👍🏻
Thank you!
That was a fun watch for me I live in SW France and you flew over our closest small town. Was nice to see the runway from the front window rather than looking out over a Ryanair wing ! Hope you enjoyed the trip
Had a fantastic time, thank you!
Epic video ! Was wondering if you have an IR(R) or full IR?
Thank you! I have a full IR; although in some of my earlier videos, I only had an IR(R). I found the IR(R) invaluable and it allowed me to complete a CB-IR course saving time and money 🙌
@@Coepilot Great to hear, I want to go the same route!
Great vid George, love your adventures. Can your mate Matt become my friend too ? lol.
Thank you! Haha, it was great speaking to him on frequency 😃
A tip, in French they say runway 28, vingt-huit not deux huit. Or at least that's what I was told and is consistent with my limited experience. If it weren't for Lee shutting at 6pm I'd be going to Paris for a meeting tomorrow, instead I'm on easyJet :( À bientôt et merci pour votre video.
Thank you! Yes, the French pilots were clearly saying 28 as opposed to 2-8 too - I will remember that for next time. Hope you enjoyed your French adventure too?
@@Coepilot very much can't wait to go back!
Thank you for taking the time to explain. I am so interested in becoming a Pilot if scholarship will still be possible for me. This has been my long time dream and also don't know if my age will not be a barrier. Thank you.
Great Video George, have you ever thought of utilising the excellent service provided NATS and its free the Flight information Service. 124.6/124.750, Its FREE.
Thanks Nomi! I certainly do speak to London Information when best appropriate; if you check out my other videos - you can see some London Info action! 😃🛫
Great video George very informative. Do you have full IR or restricted?
Thanks Yannis, I have a full IR. I initially had an IR(R) and upgraded it via the CB-IR route, would highly recommend!
you seemed very proficient I am currently doing the IR(R) but it takes a long time to complete it. How long it took you to complete the CB-IR? @@Coepilot
The longest part was the ground school & exams (I did ATPL ones, as there’s not much difference, but more flexibility with having ATPLs). If you have PIC IFR time once you have an IR(R), which I did, it reduces the IR considerably - into a similar size as the IR(R) course!
ATPL ground exams ~ 12 months IR flying course ~ 2 months (part time during British winter, from a grass airfield!) 😃
Love that PA32. A bit of proper flying, very professional, as always George. Thank goodness for a decent autopilot as well 🙂
Cheers Terry!
Great video :) enjoyed the watch
Thanks for watching!
"Salad with a big side of pizza.", that's my kind of dinner. Minus the salad of course. Bugger the medical :)
Haha, it’s mandatory to have some cuisine wherever you land… I’ve seen it in ICAO regs somewhere!! 😉😂
I am from India, I only have the money for PPL, I need to find a job in order to get my ATPL.
I took my kids camping in the C172 you parked next to in Sleap. It was an amazing trip but looking back it was my first 172 flight after converting from the C152, first time with both kids and all our camping gear and first time flying to Shobden. A lot of firsts for one day!
Sounds like an amazing trip! For me, that’s exactly what aviation is about 😃
New subscriber here. My dream aeroplane. One day, one day!
Thanks for subscribing! Hopefully one day it’ll be a reality for you 🙏🛫
Awesome scenery George. Noah’s into his third lesson now we picked up his log book and first training book yesterday. He taxied took off on his own and made a couple of full radio exchanges to air traffic control. He was put into a couple of situations where he had to get back to level flight which he did really well at. We’re absolutely loving it.
Fantastic news, glad to hear he’s getting on well! He’ll be flying you around the country in no time 🙏✈️
@@Coepilot I am amazed how quickly he’s picking things up. I’m trying to learn at the same time as I’d like to do my PPL straight after him. Thanks again for suggesting aerobility they are absolutely brilliant.
@@daviddoyle2085 Excellent! My pleasure, they’re an excellent school ✈️
What a fantastic video great flying and scenery!

Hi George. Another great video and another opportunity to see Sir Lancelot. I love that aircraft! I'd hoped to meet with you at Solent for flying lessons well before now but some work and life has got in the way quite badly. I was actually calling your slightly floaty landing as it happened while watching the vid even though I've never landed myself. Your point about higher speed because of x-wind is a great info point, though, so thank you for that. One bit of advice, if you can: I have been struggling to find a Dr to do my medical. One was too busy, referred me to a guy in Aldershot. Another I tried doesn't do it anymore. As I'm getting on a bit I don't really want to spend on flight training without knowing I'm allowed to do it. Any suggestions? So many of the ones local to Solent have 'NATS STAFF ONLY' on their profiles.
Thanks for your support as always Gary! Very sensible idea getting a medical completed first. There does seem to be a shortage of suitable doctors at the moment, and I don’t know why the NATS ones are listed?! I think there is a Dr that offers appointments at Popham and Thruxton from time to time (meridianmedical.uk/), if not, it may be a visit to LHR or LGW (there’s a few companies that offer medicals full time). Hopefully you manage to get one sorted and maybe see you around soon! 😃🛫
do you know of any ppl scholarships available to 15/16 year olds? thanks!
Check out The Air League and Honourable Company of Air Pilots. Both offer flying and/or gliding scholarships to those aged 16 and above.
