IH 4156 up date, she’s been out in the field now for about a month now. Everything looks like it’s holding together real nice. I love the sound of that 4 inch straight pipe! Please let me know where I can find a new windshield wiper blade. Thank you!

Taking a few huge steps in getting this beautiful 4156 back to field ready! Finally getting it running, properly!
I would personally go with 23 degree Firestone ive got them on my ih 706d and they’ve been on there sense about 2010 if you need any advice on them old tractors call Arnold’s of Mankato and ask for Tony he knows basically everything there is to know about old ih tractors
@@Yehaw356 thank you! Are they a dealer? And is that the name of the type of Tire?
@ yeah that’s a dealer and Tony is a mechanic 23 degree firstone is the name of the tire of course you’ll have to get them in the size you already got on the tractor
@ I will definitely have to reach out to him, I’m having some issues with my brakes, they are over pressuring themselves
I know the guy that owns that case.
@@chrisreinhart6765 I’m sure you can drive it too😂😂😂
That loading was a tad bit western. Lol. Glad got it home safely. There was one of these in our area back in early 2000s.
@@matthewheinze1231 the steering wasn’t all there at that time lol! I’m just glad we made it on and off the trailer safely. Do you know if it’s still around?
@Yellow-IH-Power I figured there was some steering issues. I don't know will have to go tractor hunting when I am back in area. Those were super rare in our part of Central Texas. Mostly row crop farming back when those tractors came out.
@ I get that, up here it seemed to jump really fast and most medium sized tractors are very hard to find. It’s small like 70 or less HP or big 250 plus HP
amazing looking tractor keep posting videos about it love to see it we have a ih 4186 amazing tractor hauls all our manure everyday and night also did put it on one of our 32ft discs this year keep the videos coming!
@@Yehaw356 Thank you very much! That is awesome! What type of manure spreader? Solid or liquid??
@@Yellow-IH-Power it’s a v max meyers spreader we hall liquid and solid with it
@ that’s awesome! How does yours handle with those and the 4 wheel steering?
@@Yellow-IH-Power our 4 wheel steer quit a number of years ago but from that one video you posted helped us fix it and it works really good for turning tight on the end rows
@ awesome!! I’m so glad that I was able to help you fix that problem! Was it just the valve that was weak? Or how’d you fix it?
One of the most special ih tractors ever n that dt429 was a way underrated engine id love to find another one or two for the farm
Right, I love that old DT429 motor, it pulled a 30 foot cultivator this summer. I thought it wouldn’t be happy or struggle, but it loved every second of it
You got some real camera skills bro😊
@@Aashishpatel_real thank you! I’m still working out the bugs with my camera system but it kinda works lol!😂
Keep it up, over time your IH 4100 will get better.
@@Flight1530 thank you! The tractor is a true 4156 just got a set of 4100 tin on the one side. When it gets a paint job it will be a 4156 on both sides! Thank you for the comment tho!
I drove it.
@@chrisreinhart6765 you also took a family picture next to it
@@Yellow-IH-Power Nice, Until the other day, I never knew that that tractor even existed. When I was growing up back in the day, my dad had John Deer tractors. I will look forward to all the updates you do on your machine.
@@Flight1530 thank you very much! I really appreciate it! And I honestly didn’t know this tractor was a thing till I found it. Did my research and was amazed at the gem I had found!!
Love the old IH Tractors 👍
Neat old tractor, first saw one in 1967 at a big plowing match, that 429 cubic inch IH diesel sounds good, pretty dry too, nice project, nice video, cheers
@@alspeers6931 Thank you! This tractor is a 4156 only built in 69-70, I just happened to fine a 4100 that was being parted out. I definitely have a long road ahead of me but I’m happy I saved a little peace of history
I found on my 4156 that the transfercase oil level is a running level. Oil is pumped to the transmission while running and will leave the oil level too low for the hydraulics to function. Could not find this in any manual. Takes an extra 5 gallons while running to bring it up to level.
@@olivemcrae9566 that’s good to know, with mine I had to change the filter, it was plugged and top off the oil, I did over fill it the first time just in case. Thanks for the advice!
I think I have a original owners manual for that style tractor
That’s awesome! I have a book for a 4100, but it would be nice to have a book for 4156!
total splendid view. :))
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Such a cool IH tractor. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you very much! I’m very proud of this tractor!
@@Yellow-IH-Power One 218 built. Extra rare. The windshield wiper should be available from Case IH. I would think it was used on the 756-1456 tractors and 615-915 combines. My 4786 tractors hazard lights and whippers are the same as the 886-1586 tractors and the 1420-1480 combines. Looking forward to seeing more of your 4156.
@@bigtractorpower thank you very much! I’m definitely going to check up on that with my local Case/IH dealer. I am working on another video as we speak. I had a friend that came through with his drone. Hopefully I will have that video out soon!!
Nice tractor you got there , it runs great , engine sounds awesome ! We just picked up a model 4186 ourselves , had not run for the better part of 10 years , drained the old fuel out , cleared blocked fuel line , new filters , new batteries , she started up , dame as you a fresh oil change. Fun units.
curious , what area is your farm , beautifully scenery.
Wow very cool to see a 4156 in the field. I have always wanted to film one. New subscriber.
Thank you very much! Big fan of your page as well!!
