I'm so late for this. I love music guessing but sometimes the pressure just wrecks you. I've definitely missed songs at other times I absolutely know from games I love and it's agonizing. That said I may have mouthed a very 'loud' no at Paula's guesses for her second song 🤣. I got 7/10 for Paula's. I missed number 9 which is aggravating because I'd guessed the game for an earlier number--not that I've ever actually played it. I only got 3/10 for Josh's.

Hey! just wanted to give some feedback on some things. I am a first time listener, and I started from this episode. It's a little confusing on who is who? Would be great if you guys had little avatars with names that are in color when you speak and black n white when you are not speaking. Also, The game that the person is speaking about. Would be great to have the name of it on screen while it is spoken about, just in-case you miss the game name and you need to go hunt for it by backtracking. the games are also not in order of appearance in the description, which was the first place I looked at when I missed a game name. thanks for doing the podcast! great job guys :) EDIT: I am fully aware the podcast is shared on other platforms as well, where the video has no play in it, but on youtube these changes would help out greatly.

You already talked about The Secret of Monkey Island (good! haha), but highly highly recommend Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge and The Curse of Monkey Island (my favourite). Tales of Monkey Island from Telltale is pretty good too. I really didn't enjoy Escape from Monkey Island. And Return to Monkey Island is coming out sometime this year! Syberia 1 and 2 are both neat. I haven't played 3 or the newest one. Amanita Design are the providers of the weird and surreal games. I enjoyed Samorost 1,2 and 3 and Botanicula. I haven't played Machinarium yet, but I know it's a classic. For classic point and click with puzzles and inventory The Book of Unwritten Tales is fun comical fantasy. The second one was fun too but it ended on a cliffhanger that seems like it's never going to be followed up on, so pretty cranky about that. Röki is an interesting one with a focus on Nordic folklore. Very fairy tale feeling and also fairly classic point and click but more modernized with freer controls. I'd be remiss in not mentioning Lucas Arts classic Grim Fandango. I played the remaster. Great story. It's cool but hard. I definitely had to consult a guide on more than one occasion. I've not actually played any of their published games yet but Daedalic has published several. Paula already talked about Deponia but they have several others as well. The Night of the Rabbit is in my backlog and there are a couple of others I have thanks to bundles and such. Primordia is another I've got backlogged that looks very cool. Oh, I haven't played them but I watched a friend do so, but the Sam and Max games from TellTale. Skunkapegames has remastered the first two seasons. Nelly Cootalot Spoonbeaks Ahoy I thiink is free on itch io or very cheap. It's quite short and basic, but a nice little intro. Nelly Cootalot and the Fowl Fleet has more to it. Very silly pirate-y classic point and clicks. Very much inspired by Monkey Island. Detective Grimoire was cute. Tangle Tower is its sequel and better. I had a bit of an issue with its plot but I still enjoyed the game overall. It's got some Professor Layton-esque elements in how it does puzzles. And just when I thought I was done rambling, I just remembered Hotel Dusk Room 215 and The Last Window for the DS. Not exactly findable these days but other means and all. Such a neat style to them. And now I'll let this monster comment end. Opened the flood gates a bit here 😄

Oh Florina... Fire Emblem GBA was my first Fire Emblem. And at least you didn't lose her as stupidly as I did? I mean, okay, those last minute crits absolutely suck. But, as it was my first FE I was told pegasus knights were vulnerable to bows, sure, but hadn't expected it to be THAT bad. Anyway, she got shot down in the level you get her and that was that for her... In a future replay she ended up being one of my strongest units, so that was a way to make up for things I guess!

I felt Rhythm Heaven Tengoku was harder then Rhythm Heaven. I’m fairly good at these but that one felt a little more strict with beats. Makes me wonder if there’s a different idea of difficulty between regions since this has happened with other games.

Just wanted to say Ghost Trick is also on iOS for a legit way to play it. (Port the dang game, Capcom, remember it exists. Capitalize off The Great Ace Attorney if you must, and go). I don't normally look up the games for How Long to Beat? The Game! But had to this time because wtf. You made your own fun with it anyway lol.

I liked Honor Among Thieves and thought it was good. But I also like all of the Sly Coopers.

Love to hear praise of FFV. I played a fan translation of a rom when I was a kid. Played it a lot with my dad and I have the GBA version now. V has a lot of charm (though I kind of burnt out on it ha). The job system is so fun and I'm so glad Bravely Default continued with it where FF abandoned it. Oh and I'm so glad Ninaric mentioned Ghost Trick which is one of my all-time favourites now and just led to a lot for me too. And it's an excellent game. Everyone play Ghost Trick

Full agreement with Alex on music. Music is needed! I once had it glitch and cut out while playing a Trails game and it's a turn based combat system--shouldn't have made much difference--but I felt so horribly off balance with it gone. Music just does so much. I ended up hopping back on to itch and while I haven't looked too much into you guys' recommendations yet I ended up landing on another small point and click game I'm interested in trying (The Librarian) and so indirect thanks for that? Haha. Good listen as usual guys!

I agree with NinjaRic! I just finished Investigations 2, and the mastermind is just.... wooooow. That was unexpected, but it just shows how great he is as a villain.

900 in rocket league and 800 on awakening? that puts my 180 hours on Breath of the Wild to shame...
