I am in the UK and my endocrinologist viewed this and said Dr Friedman is talking about stimulants for patients with both hypopituitarism and ADHD, however I argued the fact that no where in this video does he mention about ADHD, only about that hypopituitarism patients with pituitary apathy would benefit by this. It is old knowledge about ADHD patients being given stimulants, however what Dr Friedman is saying is more recent knowledge specific to hypopituitarism and I wondered if either Dr Friedman or another doctor can clarify this please?

Great seminar! Trulicity x 1 yr. Now Mounjaro x 15 mo. HbA1c from 9.0 to 5.0. Weight from 405 to 140 (5'1"). Muscle loss 7%! I was bedridden for a decade & now my morning walk is regularly 5+ miles. Also going to the gym 3-4x a week. Medicaid pays for all (I'm very blessed!), but insurance recently tried to put me back on Trulicity x 6 mo. then Ozempic x 6 months to prove they don't work. Did 3 appeals AND WON!! Back on Mounjaro for the duration. All labs pristine. HF, MASLD, sleep apnea, asthma, etc. GONE! CKD from 40 - 62 in 1 year (MJ). I am alive for the first time in my life. Severe morbidity since 7-years old. Did use compounded tirzepatide during major part of shortage. Glad to have my Mounjaro back!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience!!

Can you take glp-1's along with enbrel?

Low carb trains your pancreas to release less insulin. Then if you do happen to eat a veggie or something with a higher GI, your glucose will spike higher than normal because your body is not used to getting the “carb”. This is evident with the two meal effect…. If they both had some type of carb. The second meal will not usually spike as high as it would have if you had only one meal with carb. I researched this and saw this to also be the case for me on my CGM.

Dr Friedman I am in the upstate SC area and am contemplating scheduling with you via telemedicine.I am a central hypothyroidism (panhypopituitarism pt) that is currently on t4 and t3 and stress dose steroids.I have a background a disabled RRT.I stopped producing TSh with a TSH in my late forties.I failed my insulin tolerance test.I had a mild chiari mal repair of about 4mm and developed bacterial meningitis.The drs in my area are extremely overly conservative and treat me. Like a rare bird case.I have been to Duke and was very disappointed.My energy levels are scarce and am only on stress dose steroids.You appear to be the only well educated endocrinologist out there and others continue to fail me.Just a quick salute to you and hope to see you one day Sr.Gina White

Only thing bothered me after 2nd child born was hair loss for 16yrs, then labs showed low biotin and B5 and walla, then off/on hair loss back (maybe low ferritin, but is 43 now).

What about Clonidine for stimulation test?

np thyroid is an excellent medication! but trying having it filled it's never ready when you get there and always told it's not in stock or it been recalled or they will try to fill youur RX medicine with some thing else they will do anything not to sell it very ☹ ☹ SAD

Excellent .... I think this is key. My daughter is Dr F patient for Cushing. The 6 pillars needs to substitute smoking for "infection and toxic load" As an autoimmune condition, the trigger needs to be discovered. Otherwise the tumors will return....I suppose.

So glad I finally got to watch this Thyroid presentation. I really like Dr. Friedman's openness to studies and his ability to make good, uncommon, sense of it all. The new T3/4 combo Rx that checks every batch number for standardization was exciting! I learned a few things! Thank you!

Why is one of the symptoms "isolation, anxiety or depression"? Is it just because people who suffer uner Growth Hormone Defiency dislike their body - or are there brain changes that cause this more likely to happen?

I just watched another video with Dr Friedman in it and decided to comment here. I was wondering if he or someone on this channel can do a video when a person presents with high blood cortisol (just over top of range) at 8 am, but saliva cortisol at that time is low, but barely in range? I have done several saliva 4 pt test over the years and I almost always have low in the morning, and close to high or high at midnight (not super high, but over range), but blood cortisol are in range, but to the higher side, though I haven't done many of them. Also on salvia cortisol, my DHEA's are usually very low, even under range. Thanks

Lot of misinformation here regarding polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) and sugar. Consume PUFAs and avoid sugar at your own peril.

I was adrenal and cyclical. Even more frustrating for me was the too frequent occurrence of having a consistently low plasma cortisol, while the saliva cortisol (with serum and saliva cortisol being conducted at the same time) was usually high, but values fluctuated. My highest saliva cortisol was 2557 nmol/litre while serum cortisol was low ( roughly 40 nmol/litre). I was very sick. The best thing I did was get both adrenals removed.
