I only got to play it on a test drive, so I can't say for sure what it was like before the nerf sorry. However, I think you may be referring to the missile drag changes in which case, the red top has a significantly shorter range as it practically runs out of energy once the motor burns out - it only really hits within 1.5km rear aspect.

@@steve20001 recent changes reduced missile drag and gave it longer range, but reduced the pulling force from 16 G to 12 G. So in theory you are able to shoot at people further away, but if they turn, your missile will most likely miss, whereas before, your missile will mostly hit against maneuvering targets as long as you are close enough.

I don't think I've seen a single british hunter on the other team, and I saw one once on my team.

@@steve20001 While spading the british hunter I fought against the german one every game, and while spading the german one, i focused the british ones bc i knew it was a free kill. Of course anecdotal evidence is meaningless because a single person's experience is simply not a large enough sample size, and common sense dictates two planes at the same br but different nations will see eachother in air rb.

I don't have either of those at the moment, but I would agree that they are also powercrept, though I would not want them to go down, rather the vehicles that make them suffer should go up in BR.

​ @steve20001 A pure 1 on 1 between Hunter and F-5E, sure but that is a plane full BR above. There is nothing crazy about the fact that it's better and at the same time correct me if Im wrong but you don't die to F-5E once during the video. So that's not what held you back. You die to AIM-9B twice. That's obviously just case of not noticing/flaring it. Happens. At 5:21 You enter fight with F-5C. You make few turns and in mean time friendly MiG-21 and F-8E show up. F-5C dissangages and you turn behind him and then go up with him which drains you of last bit of energy while F-8E on your back is closing in the whole time. You die due to being slow in mid air. This was not great situation to be in but going for that F5C when he disengaged definitely sealed your fate. :C At 8:20 you enter fight with Su-25. At the time fight starts you are already close to his top speed. Just straight out, extend and drag him up. This is a very heavy attacker. And if he tries to fire a missile just flare it and gain distance and altitude to give youself advantage instead of entering flat rate fight where his tight turn rate and stronger engines will prevail every time. :C And none of us saying there is no such thing as BR compression. We all just say that this plane is not seriously affected by it as this is the title of the video. :< I am unlocking this Hunter with my squadron at the moment so I can't take it out yet therefore i can't just make video where I "do better". The most constructive thing I can offer is to invite you in game and we can go out to 9.7. I play it fairly often and have a great time most of the time and you can see live if my suggestion about tactics and such make any difference. That's all I have to say. @@BlackFoxQ As I said, and as you have correctly pointed out, there were times where I could have played things better. However, with the F-5C I was very likely going to die regardless of what I did, and I just wanted a kill. As for the fight with the frogfoot, there was a mig-21 around and my thought was that if I tried to run from the Su-25, I would find myself trying to reverse a Mig-21, not generally a good idea. Thank you however for your suggestions, perhaps I will take the hunter out again at sometime in the future. (Also, I was using the F-5E as an extreme example, but the F-5C and the crusaders will also be a big challenge in this. The sidewinder deaths were my fault, I will admit that.)

Point is at least you have flares for survivability, and if he does mess up you have the range with your missiles to punish the f5. in many contemporary aircraft such as t2 or sraam hunter you simply dont get to stop him getting onto six and firing a missile in range.

No offense but cleary this is just a case of a new player watching a video, getting a jet (probably with golden eagles) and then complaining when really it´s just a skill issue. Take this as constructive criticism, maybe refrain from making such videos next time. There´s nothing wrong with voicing your opinion, but when it is objectively wrong and detached from reality, why not wait until you spade the aircraft and learn to play it? I mean your radar is on even though you can´t do anything with it, you take and keep fuel tanks plus 10 minutes of fuel when really you only need 5. You completely forget you have flares, you turn fight and completely forget to look around you. I could go on but you get the point, jet gameplay is way different from prop gameplay so instead of trying to justify yourself by making up arguments about the F5E, why not just take it calmly and return after a few months when you have a stronger grip? I don´t mean this in a bad way.

Fair, but that doesn't mean the F.6 is good, that also needs decompression rather badly.

Saying the F.6 is a horrible aircraft is an understatement. I’ll slightly agree if the stock grind was unbearable, but once you use rockets & SRAAMs, there’s literally nothing to complain about (Literally all of my hunters have a positive k/d and I play them very regularly.)

Yes, I forgot to get rid of my fuel tanks, but if the F-5C is flown right, the hunter will never touch it.

@@steve20001 o have more than 500 kills with this Hunter, and i guarantee you that If the 2 planes are flow for good pilots becomes a really though matchup that almost end in a tie

I don't think that this hunter should go down, I just think that 9.0 to 10.3 needs to be decompressed as a whole.

I'm a kiwi, I have sorted it out a bit now, I now "only" have 250ish. Living at the bottom of the world kinda has that issue.

Thank you, it is a lot of fun as long as you don't run into one of the rocket planes. I would recommend trying one of the ones that are not in the UK tech tree as they have better engines.

Yeah, it took a bit of time because of the Ki-27's guns, but I got there in the end.

@@steve20001 yeah the biggest gripe people make about the 27 is it's lack of firepower. A larger set of guns would do the trick.

We are never going to resolve this, argument are we? However, you're not wrong, but I prefer the better flight performance. (The gun pod's armoured targets belt can be good in ground rb.)

Bf109 turns better at lower speeds, it's very fun to do energy traps and stall out ppl with it.

The thing about the 109s is that they rely on people falling for energy traps, so they take a bit more time to master. The landing flaps are really good at low speed, but you need to think ahead and deploy them early to compensate for their slow speed.

to solve your damage problem, change your minor canons to stelth and the bigger ones to anti air ammo and b happy.

@@DericoPK Most 109s have one cannon and 2 MGs. I would recommend air belts for the 20mm like you said, but for the 7.92mm MGs I would recommend universal and for the 13mm MGs either IAI or air targets.

Yeah, I enjoy doing that too, but for some reason you don't seem to get as good rewards for killing aircraft in GRB.

@@iSPELLinAMERICAN I didn't really cover defensive flying in that guide, I more focused on how to not need to be defensive. I do intend on making a defensive flying guide at some point.

Fair point, though I think the players has the most impact as British tanks have many similar problems, yet you don't get the British mains complaining anywhere near as much.

The only thing is that the King Tiger is 6.7, but I agree, the Panther is very handheld due to volumetric, and the Tiger E can be very good if you play it well.

@@steve20001 otherwise good points. I find Panthers tend to more inexperienced players like you said, due to volumetric and absence of the need to angle, but I find that (especially in the hands of an experienced user) the Tiger(s) have potential to yield higher results

Yeah, the lack of stabilisers does force a more stagnant playstyle, though if you get used to the suspension, I've found pretty good success with shooting on the move.

I think that they are probably going to add the F-15C with AMRAAMs, and add the F-16 block 52 as an F-16C "late" to have an F-16 with fox 3s. But yes, 6 R-27ERs is a bit of a balance issue, maybe they should go for 2 ERs and 4 standards R-27Rs

@@SunTzu2024 Yeah, in the devserver overview video I did, I explained where I think the F-15s are going after AMRAAMs are added.

The blue is quite cool, but I think it is their debug texture, because it is also on parts of the new M113 for Israel.
