1991 Miata rod knock/spun bearing
200k miles. What seemed to be the common HLA tick turned out to be a spun bearing. If you notice low/no oil pressure, premature oil contamination, rough idle and most importantly a knocking noise, don't waste time hoping it's the HLA tick. It's more than likely a spun bearing if you have all of these symptoms.
If you only notice a ticking noise on startup, start with cleaning the lifters, and then try a thicker oil.

Spark Plug Change 2001-2005 Honda Civic
มุมมอง 32K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a 2003 Honda Civic EX, and I will be showing you how to change the spark plugs in this video. There are a couple videos out there for this specific model, but I wanted to add a little more detail to mine and throw in a couple tips when changing the spark plugs. Hopefully this was helpful to someone, leave a comment if you have any questions! Spark plugs from Amazon: www.amazon.com/NGK-Z...
Bleeding the Clutch (2001-2005 Honda Civic) - 3 of 3
มุมมอง 51K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows how to bleed air out of a hydraulic clutch system using the vacuum technique. This requires a heavy duty air compressor that can hold at least 90 psi. There are various ways to bleed a clutch. The four most popular are: the one-man method, two-man method, pressure bleeding, and vacuum bleeding. I found the most effective and efficient technique to be vacuum bleeding. What could...
Replacing the Slave Cylinder (2001-2005 Honda Civic) - 2 of 3
มุมมอง 29K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows how to replace the clutch slave cylinder in a 2003 Honda Civic EX. These procedures will be exactly the same for a 2001-2005 (7th generation) Honda Civic, and will also benefit other Honda and Nissan owners since the clutch line is somewhat lengthy compared to other setups. How to Replace a Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder (2001-2005 Honda Civic) - 1 of 3
มุมมอง 62K8 ปีที่แล้ว
In these series of videos I will show you how to replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder for a clutch. The first video will show the steps on how to remove the master cylinder, properly bench bleed it, and then reassemble it to the firewall. It's recommended that whenever you change the master cylinder for a clutch, the slave cylinder should be replaced as well. Part 2 will consist of re...
2 Infinity Reference 1260W/1262W
มุมมอง 17K9 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I wanted to show the difference between having sound dampener inside a trunk vs. having no sound dampener. I also wanted to show the difference between having a prefab box and custom box. The visual difference isn't very obvious for the prefab box but the custom box helps with the lows I noticed. For the trunk rattle you could honestly buy a license plate kit and that would help a...
Pranking at the Marion Popcorn Festival
มุมมอง 1.1K10 ปีที่แล้ว
First public prank I've ever done, it's not as good as I wanted it to be but I got a few good clips. This was recorded at the Marion Popcorn Festival on September 6, 2014. Shoutout to these peeps for helping with the video: Adrianne Williams, Todd Mccoy, Shawn Coykendall, Ellery Robinson and Raven Nicole. I know we're amateurs lol. This was my first public prank, cut it some slack ;) This was r...

How to Run Cables Through (2001-2005) Honda Civic Firewall
very difficult to change non sense manufacturer
Fucking nightmare job. What an idiot placed it like that
Thank you buddy keep it up
Thank you buddy great job
Thank you!
Kill the crappy music, bad idea.
Trust me, if I could remove the music so the cry babies didn’t have something to cry about, I would. Thanks for watching.
Great vids, def helped me out
Def good vid. I was just doing this in the dark too, it’s a pain
What are the reasons to change these peaces? I’m having problems with my civic 2001, the pedal clutch is making a strange noise and it’s getting hard to change the velocidades, are these the reasons?
Does anyone here know: if you don't have a bench vice and bleeder kit, what's the alternative? Can you bleed the master once it's in situ? Also, if you can't get the flare nut off the hard line of the master cylinder, can you just remove that holding pin to get the hard line off? Thx.
All I want to know if where you got the container where the hose goes in the bottom on one end and the top on the other, I can’t tell if that goes in the top of that or if it’s squeezed onto a nipple on the other side
is* not if
Am having the same problem clutch stays down i bought pumb but I guess I need to buy the other vacuum thanks if you have any other tips please share it with me thanks
god... eric the car guys old video on this is so dang deceptive. thanks for showing this. after an hour of trying to take off the top shrowd i found your video and it makes so much more sense. thanks
Just what I needed this abt to go do mine thank you 🙏
Oh boy that’s a lot of work 😢
Nice video, I loosened the coils and pulled them up about an inch to make it easier to pull connectors apart the same angle you used to reattach them just an FYI for first timers I used Bosch Iridium plugs on sale at Rockauto $4 each as I have 147000 miles these might be the last time I change them on the box it said no anti seize and 21 ft lbs runs great.
Good work
Stop! Stay away from anti-seize. NGK plugs are coated at the factory
Thanks for posting, I will give this a try this afternoon..👍
My pedal is squishy and grabs about right there as well 1:22 should I replace the master cylinder or replace clutch fluid?
Thanks for the video. After procrastinating for years, I finally decided to give this a try tonight. Literally the only tools I needed were one of my mother's fondue forks and some electrical tape (to secure the wire to the fork). No second person was necessary.
Hi they r a nightmare hondacrv mk3 a night mare tanker full of brake fluid lol
is there a vid of the same shit goin down just the day cause i can’t see
Thank you brother for helping me how to fix my car know mi car clutch pedal is working god bless you
Crap video, motion sickness just watching, useless!
Seriously the best. I have looked so much into trying to find or do something like this on my 02 and you are the only one able to show me clearly enough to be able to do it myself. Thank you so much man.
Very nice 🥰
Do you have to have the clutch pedal pressed?
Outstanding, easy to understand and follow video for those of us who are mechanically-impaired, and with older Hondas, and, yes, change plus when the engine is cold. Thanks, Jonathan!!
You just pop the retainer fork out so there's no need to contend with unscrewing the hydraulic line.
Those things are impossible to get out at that angle, much easier to unscrew line
How did you get access to the master cylinder when the wheel was removed with that metal piece completely blocking it
Just pull it out like there’s nothing to it, just a lil bit of wiggling your hand and visualizing success
I changed my slave and master and bled it. But my clutch still won’t work
and yes, what about Part2? You have Part1 and Part3. Part2 shows as Private
Interesting approach to take out the Clutch Master Cylinder! I did this job once a bit differently (removing the master brake cylinder, which was kind of an overkill), but I think your method is much easier. My question is: how flexible is the metal clutch line when you pulled out the Clutch Master from that corner "pocket" above the wheel? Did you have a feeling it would break? Did you have to remove the metal clutch line from the plastic clips/brackets on the frame firewall? And finally how difficult was it to fit the replaced Clutch master back into the proper location, with the setup you had you probably attached the line fitting before placing the Clutch master cylinder back into the corner "pocket" and also you need to target the two bolt holes and the pushrod in the middle, so three things need to be aligned and you had the brake booster in the way, very confined space. How hard was it to manipulate this?
it doesn’t feel like the line is going to break at all it’s completely fine
That boot is bitch to get through lol pissing me off
HI ! WHICH SPARK PLUG IS RECOMMENDED FOR HONDA CIVIC 2004 ? DENSO OR NGK ? THANKS !
I would recommend the NGK ZFR6F-11 since they are gapped correctly and are a high quality spark plug
It's in your owners manual. Specific part number, gap size, and metal. Get a pre-gapped spark plug. You can upgrade to double platinum or Iridium, but you cant downgrade from what the manual says.
I owe you many thanks
@Jonathan : Did you have to adjust the gaps for those NGK's before installing ?
No they came gapped correctly already. For what it’s worth you can get a gap measurement tool at autozone for a few bucks in case you wanna check.
@@ladawg1 Thank you for replying !!
I hate the newer civics the grommets in the dumbest place and you have to feed it through where there is literally no room in the back of the motor to see where the wire is going
Yr vid camera moving too fast my man...
Thanks
Very helpful, now, can you do a video about removing motion sickness vomit from a 2001 to 2005 crv interior?
I'm getting dizzy
U saved me about 247 dollars brother, took it to Firestone and that was what they wanted.
yikes. I paid a guy 50 at the shell station. Bought the plugs myself. Report those bastards
How do you know which cylinder misfire instead of changing all of it? 1, 2, 3, 4? Is it passenger to driver or driver to passenger standing from the hood facing the car like your fixing it...
it's driver to passenger brother
Also good to know - wait until the engine is cool to change plugs! The engine block is aluminum and the threads are very easy to damage (strip) if the engine is warm.
Thanks man
You better put some caulk in that hole or when it rains she'll get wet and squirt water all over your carpet. (It doesn't seal itself if you can see right through it like you are showing.)
Hi Jonathan - is the process the same on a regular 2004 civic not a vtec ? thank you !!
Helped out thanks. Got mine to work.
