Nakamichi CR-7, fully overhauled by world class technician in S.KOREA. Recording performance is amazing even with the entry level cassette tape, TDK D.
Gazebo 'I like Chopin' never sounded so amazing on tape, at least not when I recorded it back in 1983 with my boombox.
se nota la diferencia....
wow just incredible..my naks DR-10 on TDK D sounds rubbish
Demi recording???
Superb sound!!
Great deck, great video, and great song. I think this TDK AR should perform better than it does. There is some noticeable loss of high frequencies and transparency. You might want to reduce the bias manually, just a little bit.
Un deck muy raro se parecen mucho al 90 de alpine
One of the most beautiful decks ever
Отличный аппарат и музыка отличная , просто наслаждение для глаз и ушей . Спасибо автору . Несбывшаяся мечта любого Советского пацана .
Hi, beautiful deck. This is the only one I miss in the collection Don't want to sell? Isn't it a shame to put normal tape into such a top deck? I record only metal tape I don't use normal tape
This is a case of a person who opines with absolute ignorance, TDK is type one but responds like metal.
Normal cassette has significantly higher noise than metal.@@paulocuesta8053

What a great looking and sounding deck .
My dream deck!
I never heard a tape skip like an LP.............LOL
Outstanding sound!!!
Um excelente deck - ja tive esse equipamento aqui em Manaus - Amazonas - Brasil.
Simply beautiful tape deck.great quality too.
Greetings . First of all congratulations for the channel !!! EXCELLENT !!! your work the one you are doing, I have an Onkyo Digital A-8800 with all the modules of the equipment are Onkyo which are an M504 amplifier, with an EQ540 Interga equalizer and another EQ-201 and another EQ-25 and another EQ-140 and one TA-2550 Interga and one TA-2750 Interga and one TA-205 Interga deck. a CP1500F Interga platter and Ortofon 40 turntable needle and CD DX-708 Interga, and the T-4500 Interga radio, All the models are from the Onkyo brand, which is the best that Onkyo does NOT make mass production if they are not selected from the Onkyo And the cables connected to the equipment are of the KabelDirekt Pro Series RCA brand and 4 DAS R-212 Speakers. and 2 Mivoc hype 10 g2 hifi subwoofers, 300 w, from 20 to 180 hz. IN THE END A CLASSIC OF THE 80S AND 90S of sound equipment of that time, over the years I have never broken any module, that is already seen from how they worked before and the manufacturing materials, I hope to have it duarte, many years for the quality of a good musical team, greetings and very good videos that you have a great like for your great videos, great sound models like these devices are no longer manufactured, it is a pity, that nowadays everything is plastic, greetings from Barcelona - You could do one of Onkyo Interga also of Review - Congratulations to all Onkyo electronics, the Inegra Series was a true excellence. I bring you bad news, for this glorious brand, which made hifi history, these days, Sharp, who recently acquired the brand, announced that the debt is incurable. The electronic audio equipment company Onkyo has filed for bankruptcy, after accumulating debts of US$24 million. Onkyo, founded in Osaka in 1946 under the name "Osaka Denky Onkyo K.K", has failed to position its mainly analog equipment in the streaming era, consequently Onkyo has been declared bankrupt by the Onkyo company. Even if the electronics produced today had nothing to do with the wonderful electronics that it has... A big greeting from Barcelona, Spain,
All tests showing how the tape recorder records in real time. Such a test always comes out well. I recommend doing it after recording, rewind the tape to the beginning of the recording and then compare with the source. It may then turn out that the head can't track the recording well or that the rollers are pressing the tape badly.
Source sounded just a little better. But still very impressive sound quality from a Type I cassette.
Nice cassette pre from Nakamichi also osm song play. I m from Pakistan Karachi
Whos the nice singer,
Increible casi igual que la fuente, y eso que usaste una cinta normal, hubieses usado una CrO2 casi no se notara la diferencia o una Metal.
Nice machine!🙂
Great deck .
little bit of dynamic lost while monitoring tape, but I sure wanted one 10 years ago.
How does this compare to the ZX-9?
The recording sounds just as good as the source!🙂
@@maxfactor4209 why you think tdk D is rubbish?
@@filippocara05 Probably because it was Type I, cheap tape. Type I tapes were never meant for high quality recording due to their limitations. At least Type II or Type IV for the best results were the way to go. However, the tapes are more of a fetish now, nothing can beat modern Hi-Res digital recording.
Судя по сквозняку - пишет один в один . Хороший аппарат , но уже как память о тех временах.....
I don't give a toss about all that darn raving about on digital sound. Absolutely nothing will touch the elegant sophistication of analog on a Nak CR-7A. ...just nothing (in my rule book, at least) what an amazing experience. thank you for posting.
My dream-deck.. :)
now what's the point?i don't understand?can you give a little explain please because i am to buying a CR-7 ,thanx
He is adjusting the alignment of the heads in run time manually, (user inpuy).. the only nak that jhss this feature. My advise is when you buy don't fiddle with it. Unless you know your stuff you cannot play aroubd with that..
Hello. What's that music? Thank you :)
The Midnight - Collateral
I do this "Monitoring" when i record on CD-R with a CD-Recorder. No difference !
I think with a high position tape (70qs)..it will even sound better than CD..I had a new Denon DRM800A ..my tapes sounded allready better than CD.. ;)
Nakamichi is the best in audio!!!
Nothing beats my Teac Z6000
The recording is missing high frequencies at all. Same for low. Very flat sound. Nothing to compare or hear. I have Akai CS-M02 fully recapped with Nichikon. It has a better sound... However the same missing high frequencies tune-up.
so which is the best tapedeck?
Drop the bias a touch, but reduce the level slightly too. It’ll improve hf performance but less forgiving if the level goes to distortion momentary
People say tdk is not a good cassette, what’s a good cassette
TDK makes great tapes. This TDK D is ok but not their best tape.
The AR90 was my go-to back in the day. Brilliant cost/performance compromise.
1 Touch Auto Calibration to Record Pause is Key Feature to Have Over Other Decks By Far
Is the cassette your using, the same one that is still in its un-opened wrapper on the tape deck?
I have a CR-7A purchased new 30 years ago and it is a great deck. It has been serviced several times and those rollers do indeed dry out, especially if the deck isn't used frequently. Mine does have a vented top.
Nakamichi Super Great !!! 👍👌👋🤞💕
TDK D is definitely one of the best cheap type 1 cassette out there. I have quite a few mixtape recorded on these. Just once criticism though. You should really just leave the monitoring to tape throughout the video because it's the sound from the cassette we're interested in. Pretty sure the source would already sounds good.
But how can we compare how close it is to the source unless he switches between both?
@@blahblahwhatblahblah yes but he switched too much and too fast..
i prefer sony hf 90
Good simple demo. Thanks.
TDK D Cool! )))
tdk d is not a good cassette but the recording and cr7 is very good
What is the price of this cassette player. Is it original Japan's devise
Vintage is still the best
Great machine. Great tape. The humble type 1, not so humble after all.
If you have a great deck type sounds heavenly
I was amazed at what a well-maintained, well-calibrated Dolby S machine can get out of the basic ferrics like TDK D, Sony HF or Maxell UR. If the tape is of consistent quality and you have a good deck, you will have great sound quality.
@@svenschwingel8632 Never i used any kind of dolby....there is a hiss?Ilove that hiss, that is a part of analogue....maybe is not perfect but for human ear is a pleasure...cd sound is so sterile....i have several decks on my collection, and herei did a short video about my AIWA AD F 660 recording..i used a very cheap type 1 cassette tape,Maxell UR..the results is here....i forgot to turn off the dolby B,but all my personal recordings they are without dolby...th-cam.com/video/g9SaufkAI94/w-d-xo.html
@@GREENTICKETRO the thing about using Noise Reduction is that you can lower the recording level and thus also harmonic distortion when recording while maintaining the dynamic range without sacrificing the analog sound. Dolby S is really amazing when it's properly aligned.
@@svenschwingel8632 Even subtle, inevitable fluctuation of the contact between the tape and head during playback leads to Dolby sound reproduction error which is less noticeable in Dolby B but greater in Dolby S.
Looks almost brand new, outstanding!
He's a time traveller he went back in the past bought it brand new and returned to our present again ....
