New Order - Elegia (Watcher in the Woods)
Although the song came out five years after the movie Watcher in the Woods...... I thought it fit in an odd way. It is my guess that the original DIs-ney version of this film from 1980 will be hard to find pretty soon. However, it is still on YT. The film was released at a time when DIs-ney wanted to make films for young adults as well as children. Screenings of the movie was canceled after 10 days because of an overwhelming negative response from audiences. Several changes were made thereafter, including the pre-credits sequence, as well as the filming of an entirely new ending, which was directed by Vincent McEveety without the involvement of the film’s main director, John Hough.
Elegia is an instrumental composed and performed by New Order. It was released on their third studio album, Low-Life in 1985. The track was written and produced by Gillian Gilbert, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and Bernard Sumner.
The song is an instrumental tribute to Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis, whom some of the members of New Order previously played in. Due to its sombre mood, it has been used in a variety of media, including Pretty in Pink, Stranger Things and The Crown.

This is an excellent live performance of one of my favorite Tom Petty hits. Stevie Nicks doing backup vocals as well as dancing while playing her tambourine is an added bonus! The song was written by Tom Petty and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. It was released in February of 1985 as the lead single from the Southern Accents album.

Pretty girls with surgically up-turned noses. Can't imagine why Hollywould would choose this girl for a movie. Ask Deb Foreman how her career worked out for her...and then ask Cage.
Valley girl is one of my favorites
I’ve always loved this movie.
Maybe no one else will see it but young Nicholas Cage reminds me of young Robert Mitchum. Both intense and beautiful in a non traditional way. And the way they swagger is epic!
What movie is this? I though I watched all of his movies, including Peggy sue got married.
Valley Girl. Classic 80's.
Deborah Foreman just beautiful
She was peak 80's chick.
Little know fact about this song. It was inspired from a Norwegian Trawler fishing tune from the 1800's called , "I'll drop the line and smelt with you'...
