As this video is old I'm assuming you've already figured this out. But just in case you have not Google "Stryker 955 Run time error Overflow" Download the zip file, from the stryker website. Extract it to your desktop. Open the striker software, Then at the top left corner click on where it says " file" Then click on "open" Select the "955 9 _ 2022.dat" file you just downloaded and extracted. Click "open" Then click Write to radio to save the changes. Turn radio off then back on. Now the Run time error '6': Overflow Error should be fixed. Now you should be able to "Read from Radio" when you run the stryker software the next time. After you've made your changes don't forget to write to radio! Also after you've made your changes it's a good idea to save a backup of your modified file , just in case there's ever a problem in the future.

first thing id check is your time settings. another thing that would be interesting to try is even though you were sent a confirmation, ignore it and enter your own. see if they can confirm yours

Update: Thursday 20241024 The Gama Match (Ring) was installed backwards. Everything's working fine now.

CAT TOT has nothing to do with FT8. It is a Time-Out Timer (TOT) for CAT commands from WSJT-X software. FT8 interactions switch the radio TX/RX back and forth every few seconds and the TOT aspect ensures that a command issued by WSJT-X completes on time (Which it does most of the time) by the Transceiver. So lets say on average every CAT command is complete in about ~5-12ms, you have more room to wait at 1000ms or stick with 100ms which seems the most reasonable time for the electronics to respond back and forth.

Google this: stryker software runtime error #6. Takes you to the Stryker website, and you download and load a file into the software. Mine works now.

You surely have the answer by now, two years later but if memory serves, the manual actually says "on the longer standoff", not longer "tuning tube". :-)

Hi Jim. You can see if a device is being seen by opening a terminal and running lspci and/or lsusb. What I would do is unplug the device, open the terminal, run ‘watch -d lspci’ then plug the device back in.

I had this antenna and could not get the counterpoise tuned right. The company was awesome help, but we couldn't figure out why it didn't work. sold it!

You've probably given up on this a while ago. Reformat the SD card with a new image. If you have a USB to corded network dongle, you could plug in that way. I have a monitor on the HDMI port and a powered USB hub on mine. On the hub is a network dongle, keyboard, and mouse. It makes configuring much easier.

My guess your problems on 40 are because the antenna is too close to your house or other structures. I had a similar problem with mine. When I relocated it more than 20 feet from our house 40 had a much lower vswr and my problems of RF in the shack causing my computer to crash went away. In the meantime the rf problems were helped with ferrite rings from Palomar. they worked much better than the ones from Amazon (of course).

You need to get the power company to look at the transformer and ALL connections and wires to your house. Do it before you lose your electronics. If several electricians have looked at it and none have told you to get the power company involved.....stop using them. They aren't good electricians.
