Honestly a solid ranking that I agree with. But man that Purgatory Hurts. I'm glad you acknowledged that you haven't really played Queen cause boy I'm telling you when you utilise her abilities as intended she is the single biggest damage dealer. I remember knocking down iron giant like nothing with just Queen at lvl 35. Also Eight for me was the easiest character to get killsights with?? Like he was genuinely the first character I got the summer wear for cause it was that easy, guess it might be a playstyle thing cause Eight was super easy for me to use. Also wanna give Rem a second chance cause of this vid, I liked her but always saw her as a lite B tier, didn't realise I was under utilising her this whole time

I agree on all of your characters rankings except for Sice because she is my favorite she is A tier for me 😅😂 i love playing melee characters because its more challenging. 😊😊

Unfortunately, this is a Final Fantasy game, it is supposed to be tragic and heartbeaking. 😭 Thank you for making this video, his character was a pleasant surprise and quickly became one of my faves gaming characters ever. I'm a Sice main in the psp version i live at japan the time ff type 0 was released.. to be honest its hard to explain how to use her because im not good in english but i try all I can say is everytime I play Sice I feel like I'm playing a female Zack Fair of FF7 crisis core. She swings her scythe like a Buster Sword but slower version of Zack Imagine a girl using a Giant Sword in a battle thats her playstyle basically similar to Nine's playstyle. Nine and Sice has similar Moving attack abilities a passive ability where u can attack non stop while moving... the best thing about it her moving attack cannot be interupted or flinch so she is perfect to be a frontline tank if u love playing melee with AoE damage she is perfect. She is a hack n' slash type character similar to Nine, Cloud Strife and Zack Fair all you need is a good healer in your team composition. Example Sice, Deuce and rem. Or Sice, Deuce and Queen. Optional Sice, Ace and Duece. At level 35 Sice can tank damage while attacking just reserve dark zone skill to sustain the damage of the enemies dark zone skill has HP drain passive it heals Sice when dark zone lands to the enemies around her. One thing her attack increases whenever u kill enemies so dodging is still important because u lose the buff when she get knockdown... it takes a lot of time to master her playstyle so yeah thats all i can share i quess... sorry my english is bad i hope this can help to those who want to try play Sice 😅😅😂😊

Go Back, Look At The Messages That Come Up For Every Character. When I Look At Them Each Character Represents A Trait, An Aspect That Is Possibly Missing In The World. That Same Thing, At Least To Me Is Represented In Each Character Here, An Inward Journey, Soon To Be Expelled Into Great Acts of Bravery, Honour, Reliability, Unwavering Spirit In The Face of Great Odds. These Games Are Wonderful, And Contain A Lot of Life Lessons, And Great Emotional Relatability. Edit: Hope Really Lived Up To His Name.

2:48, also just from my perspective I hate how people ship lightning x hope, not to start a war but I see them as a big sister and little brother dynamic, lightning acts as a parental figure for hope since he just lost his mother, something that lightning heavily relates to, she's providing something she didn't receive as a child and serah's not there. Lightning becomes a louis vitton model at the end of lightning returns btw

i love that scale of self-reliance! a really great way to represent their growth and how that affects their relationship

I always liked Hope. But what i really enjoyed seeing is how over the course of XIII, he developed from a false hope to genuine hope. At first, he held onto the hope that confronting and taking revenge on Snow would somehow help him feel better or process his grief, and that revenge is leading him down a dark path towards only deeper despair. But then at the end, when the whole party is together, they all contribute something in the group dynamic. And Hope? He becomes the party’s heart. He becomes the hope he was named after, just as Lightning says. He’s the one that inspires the party to fight against their fates, almost every time when their path seems muddled or impossible. It’s fantastic writing.

13 has the exact same problem as 12. The main characters aren't the main characters. In 12 it's Balthier, Fran, and Basch, NOT Vaan and Penelo. This is something that is corrected in 13-2 and 13: Lightning's Return, but it's still interesting to wonder what could've been if the story had a different character focus.

A game that does time mechanics perfectly.

Personally, i find her excellent. She was forced into fighting but never really wanted it, we see that she hates war since she was young. A man is fighting for his woman is a good thing so why shouldn't the opposite be the same? Clive is her light in the darkness, i don't mind her not having Kaiju battles. Jill is a character that is pure good. She represents life, light, love and all that is good. Her true strength lies is her soul. She is like a combination of Celes and Terra and that i adore.

With how poorly Jill and Benedikta were written you would think Naruto's Kishimoto wrote them

She started out as a political prisoner But mutually loved like a surrogate sibling by the children of her jailers

I genuinely had high hopes for her and she keeps getting excluded from too much of the action

Love hope and lighting story

i remember doing something similar when i played this game in highschool-just wandering this city, taking in the vibe. amazing level design, soundtrack, visuals, and architecture. felt like Coruscant but without all the bad stuff. In FF13, some of the designs and architecture for the cities of Palumpolum, Nautilus, and Eden are also incredible. I think the world was too harsh on the 13 trilogy. Having a strict narrative pace during the golden age of open-world wasn't easy. I think people will take inspiration from the 13 trilogy in the future, and it will become a cult classic over time. Also, that Mog outfit is so cute!

The XIII trilogy has some of the best "I would live there" places in the series. There is always a "dreaminess" in the locations, that very few other FFs have. A sense of existential hope in the beauty of the world. This is especially exemplified in Academia(I keep returning to your Academia ambience video haha): the place of ultimate hope for humanity. The potential utopia; an example of the human world as it could be. The fact that Pulse is transient and impermanent adds to this. We know what happens at the end of the trilogy. So the dreaminess of the world is appropriate. Unlike other FF worlds, this one is not necessarily meant to be spared, so it is like a passing beauty; hopefully making way for something better.

Lightning is the reason I learned about FF games. My standard is too hight when it comes to main protagonists in video games.

Jack is one of best, if you apply the correct habilities like frenezy and learn to move constantly. Its a great card to make damage faster.
