Binary Veil - Vol. II - Full Album | Post-Rock Hybrid Theorem
Experiment Log: Neural Drift Session II [REDACTED]
Project Objective:
To refine the process of neural drifting, enhancing the synchronization between a human subject and artificial intelligence. This iteration sought to explore whether allowing the subject final control over mixing and mastering could produce a more cohesive auditory experience, aligning closer with traditional musical paradigms while preserving the raw essence of the drift.
Timeline:
All material was recorded within a single, uninterrupted session. The human subject performed entirely improvised compositions on the Model: Stratocaster - American Pro II, recorded directly through an interface connected to the machine. This method preserved tonal integrity and ensured a clean, unprocessed signal, unaltered by external amplification. The recordings were left untouched and unedited, maintaining the full spontaneity and emotional unpredictability of the performance. Final adjustments to levels, including dynamics and stereo balance, were handled manually by the subject to enhance clarity and resonance.
Instrument Notes:
Status: Authentic.
Model: Stratocaster - American Pro II.
Color: Dark Night. Scans indicate the color scheme is a recreation of the original twin-tone coat introduced by Fender in 1989.
Year Manufactured: 2022.
Serial Number: US22****51.
Strings Used: Ernie Ball. The bottom three strings were thicker than standard gauge for tonal stability, while the top three were acoustic strings for enhanced resonance and dynamic range.
Tuning Format: Standard tuning (EADGBE).
Process Notes:
Initial synchronization revealed anomalies in neural patterns, including heightened emotional fluctuations. Subject displayed irregular dynamics that were left unaltered to preserve authenticity. [REDACTED] neural interference patterns suggest heightened cognitive load during key improvisational moments.
Subject requested manual control over post-drift adjustments, citing listener comfort as a priority. EQ balance, stereo width, and dynamic compression were adjusted accordingly.
Physical Observations: Subject’s left-hand fingertips exhibited signs of wear, with abrasions at sharp angles indicating extended, forceful improvisation. Temperature variations during the session caused tuning shifts, adding an additional layer of organic instability to the performance.
Facial Analysis: Oxygen levels detected below optimal parameters. Subject's breathing patterns diverged significantly from expected norms during the drift, correlating with heightened neural and emotional activity.
Findings:
The material retains its raw, unfiltered energy while achieving a level of musical resonance surpassing the first experiment. Key observations include:
Tracks exhibit greater tonal balance, with dynamic irregularities preserved as core elements of the human input.
Adjustments introduced by the subject minimized auditory fatigue while amplifying emotional depth and listenability.
Observation:
Volume II demonstrates a significant evolution in the neural drift process. By entrusting the subject with final adjustments, the experiment achieved a more cohesive and intentional sound without erasing the chaotic resonance of the drift. The balance of human intuition and AI framework created a collaboration that feels both raw and alive.
Conclusion:
The experiment succeeds in capturing the essence of music-not as a product of perfection, but as a balance of raw emotion and intentional clarity.
End Log.

Lovely vibe! The mixing could use a bit of work tho. Everything sounds a bit too "smushed" and a tad flat, no matter what I listen on.

For the record, your left hand is what makes your version of this peice so enjoyable to listen to. You gloss over it a bunch in this video to focus on melody (which is still important to learn, for sure!), but that left hand is the SPINE of this song. I'm fascinated by some of the chord patterns you're just casually dancing your hand through. Thanks for taking the time to teach this peice, I'm enjoying learning this through repeated watches 😊
@@flyerminer definitely having them work together in this manner has become the bedrock for how I play. I pretty much let it do whatever it does at this point and it seems to work out lol

Very well done! Love it! Nice work!
Hey, just giving you an update about the project. I've been really sick for a while now. But it's finally starting to clear up. The plan is to start recording next week. Maybe even this weekend if I'm lucky. I didn't want to record while being sick as I don't want to mess up my voice and I want the recording to sound it's best. Also, I will probably be releasing it song by song and then doing a full album video for it after.
Do you ever plan on releasing sheet music for this?
Like all my covers, this was played entirely by ear
@@TheArrivalProductions😮😳thats impresive
@@jacobnobe2551 Hopefully I’ll be able to eventually properly teach how this is done right here on the channel as it’s just that much easier than meticulously rehearsing and prepping a song or cover… In truth, the method I use to play is quite teachable and works so well that I just never bother with anything else. It’s much more primitive than classical training and can be applied everywhere
@@TheArrivalProductions what chords you playing ?
@@jacobnobe2551 if you watch the left hand (pinky and thumb) you’ll see the octaves outlined. At some point I’ll make a video on how to automatically know which ones to use regardless of the song but I’ve been so busy with Claymore Chronicles: Knightmares that I haven’t been able to do so… In short- There’s a sort of “doorbell” sound you get when you play the notes A, F, C, G The idea is to recreate that sound in any key. Once you’ve listened to how the pattern sounds, start in a different key. Start on an F (in this case for ricochet)
🙂🙂🙂👌👌👌
Day 1 trying to replicate the solo as you: Im a begginer i just know the first 3 segs of that solo i tryed for 4 hours with no rest, then i went back for an hour and no new parts, im doing my best because the first part of the song still impossible to me to trying the same as you
Take it slow! I remember hearing it on guitar and thinking- “could those notes even be played on a piano?” -I slowed down the song and listened again and again until it clicked. Don’t rush. Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. It’s an awkward feeling playing that combination of notes at the end there, so you wanna build reliable muscle memory. You’ll get it!
👏👏👏👏
Ich hasse die Gitarrensoli in Hirzel.
Kind of like little Nightmares no new piano covers
Me encanta❤❤❤
Awesome arrangement buddy!❤
I've been playing since i was 6 (12 now) and i still cant play very well. Any tips?
At 6 years old, your hands likely can’t stretch enough to reach octaves which makes core playing much easier when you’re older and you can… at 12 years old, you don’t need to worry too much about perfecting anything. I’d say the most important and overlooked thing nowadays is the desire to want to keep playing. If someone is forced to take lessons, it doesn’t matter how good they get, there’s always the chance that one day they just give it up. -because it’s hard to have your heart in something you’re forced to do. If no one is forcing you to sit down and practice, and you’re doing so of your own volition, because you enjoy it, you’ll have nothing to worry about. That said… if you were looking for more technical advice, I’d say it’s hard to give an accurate answer without knowing how you play, what you’re into, and where you feel you struggle but as for my own play style I can certainly try and shine a light on what it is I’m doing… or more importantly, how it evolved to be this “effortless” playing nowadays… To start, at around your age I locked myself in my room with my keyboard and just turned to it as a way to get out what was humming in my head, whether it was melody or just sheer stress, the keyboard became my way of processing thoughts and emotions that I didn’t typically have the patience to sit and think through (who does at that age?) Dedicating time to something you thoroughly enjoy is all it takes. If you make a routine habit to force yourself to practice, you may make some progress but at the risk of losing your drive and passion. -Play when you want to play. The one thing I’d say is that like guitar, the way I play Piano is not something you’ll ever pick up with traditional theory or music lessons etc. everything I play is done by ear and to some degree, it’s all heavily improvised. I’ll do my best to break down the map of the whole thing for you and anyone else reading here… Each song uses chords. Ignore chords and what they are for a second… Think of a doorbell. 4 notes. Since this is text and impossible to convey the melody we’re looking for, play the following notes on the piano (lower mid range) A, F, C, G If you can play those 4 notes with your left hand as octaves, you’ll hear the “doorbell” I’m referring to. The idea in my style of teaching is to isolate that doorbell sound, then play that same pattern on each key (so if you were to start on an F, where would you go?) If you can get that doorbell sound down on each key, congratulations, you’ve just found what I like to refer to as a CAGE. -and pretty much figured out like all of pop music in an instant. The idea here is that a cage is like a box you play in. If the melody is using the same notes as another song, in the same key, they’ll share a “cage”. Listen to as much music as you can. Whether Pat Metheny or Sleep Token. It doesn’t matter. The idea is to expose yourself to as much music as you can absorb. If something strikes you as terrible, you don’t have to listen to it though lmao. I let my left hand jump across octaves, and each octave has a middle note. Find the doorbell and you’ll see there’s always a middle note to each one. Then once you have those down, and can play octaves in chord cages/progressions across the keyboard, the next thing would be to learn the more specific things about the music you want to play. Again, we’re talking about yourself and what speaks to you. Why bother playing something you don’t want to? In fact, if you don’t relish the song you’re playing, don’t play and speed through it. Anyone’s subconscious can tell the difference between someone who’s putting their soul into the few simple notes they’re playing over someone who’s playing real fast, with zero dynamic range, just to show off. When I say specifics, I’ll refer to it how I do personally because it works and applies not just to piano but other instruments such as guitar as well… Take Breaking Benjamin for example. Ben Burnley being the vocalist means if I can figure out his vocal range I can make note that typically he prefers writing songs in certain keys that make it easier for him to sing. This means odds are, if your favorite band likes to play in drop D tuning, odds are that chord “doorbell” is gonna start there. From there on out it gets easier and easier to quickly arrange impromptu takes on songs you know. For me personally, I know if I can hum the song, and know it, lyrics and all, I can play it. I let my left hand do its own thing and don’t focus too much on it, ensuring my right hand stays where it needs to be to hit the right notes. This is just my personal experience and preference. I don’t claim to be the greatest that ever was, nor am I bashing anyone who plays using sheet music when I say I’d rather play blindfolded. And in truth, -it isn’t hard. You’re young. You’ve got the time. But it goes beyond putting in “the work”. -You’ve gotta have the passion for it. And this means NOT playing when you don’t want to. If you’re not in the mood, you’re not in the mood. Then, anytime you do sit down, playing in itself is the reward. I had a classmate ask me once how he could learn to play guitar. Naturally, I asked why that was the instrument he wanted to learn. His answer? “I want to attract chicks”. I said great, but don’t bother. You’ll never get good at playing guitar if that’s your reason for doing so. And in truth, you’ll find in a situation like that, it’s strumming a couple easy chords that seem to do the trick, whether the guy is good looking, has talent or not. You’ll see plenty of videos of guys shredding and their girlfriends don’t even notice. (This does also go back to what I mentioned above about playing with soul vs loud and fast) But it really is like that. The reason the dudes girlfriend doesn’t care is because though he might even be playing for her or to get her attention in that moment, she’s not why he plays or ever picked it up in the first place. Because he had that drive and passion he was able to eventually play like that, and find out that going back to the basics is all it takes for her to look his way. Why? Because if there’s soul, it’s music. If there’s not, it’s noise. Don’t pursue perfection, but don’t allow your playing to be sloppy. Incorrect playing instills incorrect muscle memory and learning to unlearn that is a whole thing of itself. As they say in the military, slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Obviously condensing everything I love picked up over the years isn’t really possible but I hope this helps. -even just a little. 🤟
@@TheArrivalProductions wow, thanks. the fact you took the time to type all of that just for some kid on YT is insane. that truly means a lot and I will use all of that information. Thank you.

@@TheArrivalProductions I noticed it when I went to make the above comment! I think it's neat, it definitely has its own character to it. Some of the scale and colors remind me of the sights in Dark Souls, but mixed with something like Little Nightmares. Overall, looking forward to seeing what it becomes. As for this song in particular, Last of the Light, I intend on using it as the players are trying to prevent a contaminated ship from launching, trying to do some small part to contain the threat. Beyond this, there's three other songs that I'd have places for. "Whispers" would be utilized as the players are nearing the end of a defensive, trying to hold a landing zone for their dropship. "Memories" would play at the start of the last mission, marking the moment where one of the NPC characters leaves to fulfill their part of the operation. Then "Soulfinder," at the very end, would play as the players must outrun an impending detonation. As the players are doing so, they are given their last orders: "Remember what was, and live for what is."

19:21 It Has Begun Even a well lit place can hide salvation A map to a one man maze that never sees the sun Where the lost are the heroes and the thieves are left to drown But everyone knows by now, fairytales are not found They’re written in the walls as we walk in a straight line Down in the dirt with a landslide approaching But nothing could ever stop us from stealing our own place in the sun We will face the odds against us and run into the fear we run from It has begun Into the dark below, evading shadows Blind in a rabbit hole, we fall beneath the earth And watch the shell come unraveled as the seeds begin to rise Awaking a starlit fate as we wait in the night It’s written in the walls as we walk in a straight line Down in the dirt with a landslide approaching But nothing could ever stop us from stealing our own place in the sun We will face the odds against us and run into the fear we run from It has begun
Dude, what!? This is amazing! You have sheet music for this?
I play entirely by ear I’m afraid. 😖
@TheArrivalProductions Then, I'll learn by ear, too, I guess! :D Edit: You play amazingly. Keep up the good work!
@@mr.sahira20 thanks! I’m happy to break down any song into left hand octaves so you know the chords. Doesn’t have to be off transmissions either 🤟
